because it was true for her time. There social climate was filled with racist and bigots in the US who where mostly Whites. KEEP YOUR VOTE, McCain will need it.
So in contrast, it wouldn't be racist to say that today, because we live in a social climate where many black men have multiple children with different mothers and many black women are generational welfare recipients, that a black man with three kids with two mothers, both of whom receive government assistance, are "typical black people?"

You really are naive if you think that the "government" above maybe the extreme local level has your interests at heart. Why would anyone spend 300 or more million to get a job that pays 400 thou a year? They are (OBAMA included) already bought and paid for by the various special interests. If you believe otherwise you sir are the naive idiot.

Don't know how old you are but everyone was quite sick of Reagan when he left office. Agree Bush is now perceived, and rightly so, as a failed president. So was Truman and Eisenhower. History will be the judge not us.

Reagan is regarded as one of the best presidents we ever had. A lot of Bush's legacy will only be thought of clearly after the Middle East question is answered.Regardless of some of his liberal domestic policies&lack of fiscal restraint, his legacy could be one of the President who held the USA together, fought terrorism, stabilized the Middle East, etc.Or the opposite. But just like Lincoln -who was hated by many in the Union (and of course Confederacy)& ultimately assassinated, he might end up having the mantle many years from now as a savior. Who knows, eh? No one remembers much now about Lincoln's detractors.More just that the Union was saved& a great cost to all.The emotions now, which were also shared by many in the 80s (Reagan is going to get us all killed, Reagan is dumb, Reagan is antogonizing the Soviets, The Soviets can never be defeated, etc. etc.) are in the midst of being relegated to history. In another couple of decades (he is already considered one of the best presidents) his legacy is only going to be greater than it already is. Time has a funny way of doing that. So, if Iraq ends up being a beacon of hope, and the opposition in Iran, Syria, etc. what have you end up turning their countries into democracies - then what? I would have to say anyone was not not consumed with just vitriol and hatred would have to say - oh crap, that guy was right. Now as much as I disagree with some of Bush's policies, that would b a great legacy. His erstwhile liberal opponents (who supposedly don't like things like gassing ethnic minorities, limiting women's rights, allowing his group to murder and rape at will, potentially developing weapons or working with terrorists, plotting to assassinate US presidents, etc.)probably will never give him credit during theirimmediate event horizon. But over time, if that policy succeeds - he will be remembered for that. Or perhaps they are rooting for American failure? You see, either way- it is ugly opposition from the liberals. Now that we are there, any rational person would want us to succeed - regardless of whether or not you believe the initial premise was flawed. Why? Because if you are truly a "compassionate" person you want people to succeed and not suffer. And anyone who is looking at Iraq with a half logical mind can clearly see that no matter what they are better off without Saddam. Even if the policy fails, would it have been better to leave it? No. Now, again you may disagree with the initial premise, the strategy, and even the motive. But that is water under the bridge. Further opposition at this point is kind of like being on a team with someone who wants to see your team fail and not help. Now, if there was another strategy that was being offered that offered a realistic chance of being considered, that might be a different story. I have yet to hear of any offering of a realistic strategy that would either help the people of Iraq or the USA in the past few years. So, therein lies the rub. That is also why most Americans don't like the liberal viewpoint onthat subject. They offer nothing beneficial to even debate the current strategy. Again, tactics and strategy - I am sure there is plenty to debate. Anyhow, time &again, these "leaders" are scary because they show very little understanding of global forces and politics.Instead they work on rhetoric.Kind of scary. It is hard to win a war of ideas when you don't offer any viable alternatives. When will our so called elites offer common sense understanding&debate. It is lacking at many different levels. I find it lacking in McCain, but much more soin the Obama types.
Oh well, that is life.We shall see how this plays out. America needs some good leaders, but we don't have any currently running for the highest office. No way am I going to give my vote to a supposedly book smart (and actually not even that, surprisingly) who can't even manage his own personal relations, has very little experience and doesn't even grasp global power.

Obama is the answer to Bushism and the idiocracy of the Administration's disastrous policies of past 8 years that governed America. He will be able to restore the true image, reputation once America enjoyed in the world as a champion of Democracy and Freedom. Obama is truly a visionary leader, a virtuous man who is able to deliver the promise and bring much needed change. We are fighting two wars, have not even captured Osama Bin Laden, economy is in crisis, gas prices are going up on a daily basis and only large oil corporations seem to be doing very well. Americans need a new start and re-think of foreign, domestic, economic and energy policies. Obama represents the change, the new force that will fight for every American and defend the small guy.

Many Americans are aware of the countless
examples of contempt towards whites and the
united states expressed by Obama's wife in her
Princeton dissertation - and spread to young
blacks by Obama's countless hate-filled
acquaintances' and "reverends." But few
Americans are aware of the video of eight
politicians pledging their allegiance to
the united states by holding their hands to
their hearts - actually 7 of the 8. Take an
educated guess at the single politician not
holding his hand to his heart. Rare
coincidence or an extension of twenty plus
years of brainwashing - by "reverends" such
as Wright and Obama's wife - about the evil
and mean united states?(not only was the
above-mentioned video difficult to locate,
I've yet to hear it mentioned even once on
forums, so feel free to copy any part of
this message and spread it through the web,
in view of all the hatred for whites and
the U.S. coming from those surrounding
Obama - especially his wife - that, I
believe the STARK video of Obama
recorded expressing a subtle, but clear,
contempt for the racist U.S. government
- the product of 20 plus years of Wright
hateship.

coincidentally, refusing to pay
