1 I just came back from town, I purchased 10 gallons of Diesel last Wednesday for $4.25 per gallon UP .40 cents from the week before (For you Republican Bush lovers thats ALMOST 10%). Today, I put in another 10 gallons at the same fueling station for $4.38 (for you Republican Bush lovers thats another ~3%). At this rate Diesel will be $5.00 by the end of the month. Then $10.00 a gallon by summer, etc, etc. Do you need to be a rocket scientist to see where this is going???? The entire country will be bankrupt soon enough...How can I justify raising my prices to just keep up with this crap....EVERYTHING IS GOING UP....WHERE DO THESE AS*HOLES IN WASHINGTON get their miserable statistics???? The cost of living they are quoting is an absolute SHAM, total BullSh*T. Soon enough the self employed will not be able to charge enough to make any money because of rampant inflation EVERYWHERE fueled by outrageous fuel prices: Small business keep this country going, if we go down NO STIMULUS PACKAGE will drag us out of a depression. Case in point: How many airlines have gone bankrupt in the last month? Why do the feds bail out the largest banks, but squabble on helping the middle class keep thier homes? Do any of you think $300 /$600 per family is going to make a crap of difference? Its costing me an extra $150.00 a week for fuel for my business....Thanks a bunch for the "GIFT"..... Now shove it up where the sun don't shine!!!!!!!! |

1 YOU are the ones making all this possible. I'm happy as fire seeing all these businesses close, because as things get worse and worse as they must, sooner or later americans might force the Jewish media from America and all the Jewish influence sucking the marrow from the bones of this nation. |

No surprise the consumer is spending his extra money on fuel and food cost. Which will keep going up until our so called government does something. But they always wait until the last second to do something to turn things around ( they hope) , but it is usually to late for most of us.

Yes. It is despicable. It is the right-wing southern protestants who are killing the country, economically.

1 May they find YOU and burn you on a cross, KKK-er. It is the right-wing southern protestant businessmen who are squeezing every last penny from decent citizens. |

1 hahahahahahahahahaha, you do the same thing as I do, only you blame Southern Protestants, people that are meek, because you are a wussie with a p. |

A great many southerners from Florida, expecially white protestants, are homosexual. It has to do with the suspenders they wear. This was brought out in a recent survey. |

The demise of conspicuous consumption is much over rated. People in this country are addicted to it. Stuff....must get stuff......need more stuff!

1 I'm glad I saved my money and didn't take that class. Everything I predicted has come to pass. As someone at the bottom of the economic ladder - call me working poor, if you will - I was the first to feel the pinch. I had to draw in my purse strings 2 or 3 years ago. Even then rising prices were hurting me. I made the statement that those of us at the bottom of the earning ladder should be a barometer for those higher up. If I'm having a hard time, chances are economic difficulties are going to creep up the ladder and affect the next level and the next level and so on. And so it has. I also explained that it is the consumer that keeps the economy going. Take away any of that consumer's disposable income (that which is left over after necessities are paid) and the economy is going to fall. Clothes, jewelry, electronics, home furnishings, etc... these are all things people begin to do without when times get tough. And the businesses that sell those things lose and then they lay people off and then more people don't have money to spend and then more businesses go under... it's a vicious cycle. I'm sure the economic woes stop someone up the ladder; they eventually meet a level where cost is no object, but even the well off are paying more for the things they buy. It just doesn't hurt as much. But even many of those who can still afford to shop indiscriminately are worried. They see the tide rising and engulfing more and more people. More and more Americans are realizing they can do without and will do without because they are concerned about their financial future. I have far more company these days than I had 3 years ago, and it's been interesting to watch my predictions become reality. I've always thought that a rich nation was one that had money for its needed and money for extras and all that money helped keep people working and businesses operating. I don't think that's America anymore. |

1 You sa, not me sa. I want to see the store owners bite the dust, as they have hurt all of america, well, at least a majority, as their voting has registered over the years. They will have nothing to do with the truth and the proof, because then they couldn't steal at every turn. I laugh at their demise as every decent honest person in america should, because they teach our children to do everything for the sake of the bottom line and thus teach children to be far less than what the american spirit has taught us and tradition demanded. |

Not Victoria's Secret? Surely you don't mean Victoria's Secret. |
