Dem Exterminator wrote: <quoted text> You're dreaming. Huchabee has run the cleanest campaign in election history. And your "Polls of likely voters show Clinton and Obama beating McCain if the elction were held today." is another dream. Maybe that's true in our backwards state of Pennsyltucky but nationally, McCain destroys Clinton and beats Obama by a comfortable margin. I can't wait for the debates between Obama and McCain. Obama will be exposed as an empty suit just as Chris Matthews proved last night when one of Obama's supporters couldn't name one accomplishment of Obama in the Senate. Chanting "change" and "we can do it" gets a little boring after a while. Once McCain exposes the costs of Obama's "change", the chanting will lose its appeal to anyone who pays income taxes. I pay income taxes and ya know what? That attitude of yours is a big reason why the people of this country are craving change. The only one being EXPOSED, it seems, is McCain. You're a partisan blow-hard who lacks the ability to form an independent thought. You let druggie Rush tell you what to think and how to vote. You're as much of an impotent loud mouth as he is. How bout you list George Bush's accomplishments before he ran for president. He destroyed everything he ever touched. I lived in Texas during his reign. I'm well aware of the damage he did there. I can't WAIT to watch you and the other 19 percenters crap yourselves when either Hillary or Obama becomes president. You severely underestimate the people of this country when you assume they are either liberal or conservative. many are neither and THOSE are the people that are going to bring about change.

I don't listen to Rush. Sorry to bust your little gay bubble. I listen to MP3 files while I work. I haven't listened to AM radio since FM was invented. If Hillary or Obama win the presidency, it won't phase me in the least because I have already hedged my investment strategy and I'm making a small fortune on gold and petro stocks and mutuals. I advertised right here on these message boards last year that the minute it looked like Hillary had a chance, it was time to lighten up on stocks and get into gold and oil. I made my move in early November and caught it just right. That wench isn't going to get her slimy hands anywhere near my dinero. Watch the debate tonight? How about the focus group that judged the debate? This group of REGISTERED DEMOCRATS was totally disappointed because both Hillary and Obama do not answer the questions. It was one big love fest. When your base is upset with both your candidates, that's a big red flag. A. I'm a woman. I've said so on these boards numerous times. What is it with you wingers and your obsession with the gays? I'll bet you're a very experienced toe tapper. That's what you wingers do. Condemn the gays right before you cruise for them. B. I'm not a registered Democrat. I've said so numerous times on these boards. What is it with you wingers and your inability to grasp the idea that this country isn't divided into only 2 groups of peolpe....liberal or conservative? C. You're a pompous @$$. D. I got you all riled up with my assertion that Huckabee was behind the smear. That made my night because I think on some level you believe it COULD be true. E. Since you have a bit of a reading comprehension problem I will also point out that when I said "your attitude" I was referring to your idiotic belief that people in this country have to be either liberal or conservative. And all you wingnuts think that.

NostraTimus wrote: McCain bombs New York Times! (Millions of Americans cheer) They say “never pick a fight with someone who buys ink in barrels”. Well, John McCain has never been afraid of a good fight. The New York Times started this battle and McCain intends to finish it. The NYT has become just another left-wing rag. They are constantly putting their own slant on the news a only printing the news that serves their agenda. Consequently their subscription rate has tumbled and they have announced layoffs in their “news” department. These vicious and untrue accusations about McCain and a Lobbyist can’t even be verified by people with names. It is is NOT news and is is only being printed because John McCain is is going to be the Republican nominee. McCain has held a press conference with his wife where he denied all of the accusations by The NYT. He has stated that he is is “very disappointed” by The New York Times. I think the American people would say they are “very disgusted” by The NYT. The voters will side with McCain in this fight. This is is one time where someone who buys ink in barrels picked a fight with the wrong guy. TSH54 Hey "NostraTimus" Let's see what we see. I see a man just like Clinton who can't tell the truth. He's not even man enough to own up to what he did. I for one don't want a person like that to be calling himself our president. Bush is a liar, Clinton was a liar... Aren't you people tired of being lied to yet?? I wish there was a none of the above on the ballot because I don't see any of the people running for president as being worth spit.

This is pretty tame compared to the Swift Boat nonsense from the froth-at-the-mouth fascist Right. I'm continually amazed at the thin skins of so-called conservatives when they're given a dose of their own medicine.
It s (sic, It's) a vast left wing conspiracy.. NYT or the AP start the rumors...then the rest of the liberal parrot cage print media is informed and lousy papers like the Morning Call pick it up... Their (sic, There) is a treasure trove of 40 yrs of controversy on Barak Hussein Obama and all we get is the fluffy crap. No one who is right of Castro reads the Morning Call, the Proof is its own snapshot poll on who the Lehigh Valley Supports. This week on the The Dem side it has 300+ votes for Obama w/Clinton getting 200. On the Rep side its Paul with 25 votes to McCains 20!....nuff said!!
And in a nutshell, you just enlightened everyone to what your problem is and WHY you are such a pompous @ss. You're wrong about there only being two groups of people on the internets and in real life. But if it helps you to think that way, knock yourself out. I know you're scared to death of having anyone but pervs, criminals and war mongers running thngs. But this time you'll be outnumbered on an enormous scale BECAUSE of that miscalculation. Bush is at, what? 19%? That's a lot of people who are sick of the status quo. A LOT.

Dem Exterminator wrote: <quoted text> You keep throwing that 19% number around like it really means something. PS - it means NOTHING in the grand scheme of things. As long as the Dem controlled Congress can't get their rating over HALF the president's so called "approval rating", he will be held in much higher esteem than ANY obstructionist punk Democrat. And I stand by what I said regarding far left and far right. This country is very divided between those of us who want to keep America strong and great and those of you who want to kiss the behind of George Soros. I love your Democratic "debates" where no questions are answered with specifics. It plays well to the sheep in the Democratic Party when Hillary or Obama is asked how they would solve a certain problem and their only response is to say something negative about the president without even coming close to answering the question. That may pass muster in the HillObama lovefest but once the stakes are set in a REAL debate with John McCain, that spin will be ripped to shreds. Here is the headach for the Republicans. All Obama has to say is "I'll do it diffrent than Bush did" And he will kick the living crap out of John "Bush clone" McCain. That 19% number you so desparately want to ignore, is an indication of how dissatisfied the people of this country are with GWB and his party. Face it. The republicans screwed up, and are going to get spanked real hard for it in this next election. You didn't believe me when I said the Dems would control congress. You didn't believe me when I said Obama would beat Hillary, You may not believe me when I tell you that your faith in gold, and oil company stock is going to be very disappointing, at least believe me when I tell you that you should get used to saying "president Obama".

Hey idiot where the hell are you getting 19%, its in the mid 30's, and the democratically controlled congress is at 20%. Heres the real issues, first of all Bush is not running again, but congress is, guess how many dems are in trouble, a lot, why because when given the chance to vote against the war, they voted in favor. The other poll that gets overlooked by the left is this one, the poll that shows overwhelmingly that americans supoort by a ratio of 8 to 1 suppot for victory in Iraq, that poll has never wavered, what wavered was americans satisfaction with the prosecurtion of the war, and that, deservingly so, is where the problems for this administration and the poor approval ratings comes in. So yes Bush does have an "approval" problem, but that very well could change with the incresed success in Iraq. What will it mean for the election, presidential nothing, but the congressional races will be interesting.

Just because someone doesn't support defeat doesn't mean they think we should be over there. Americans are overwhelmingly against this war. There are 22 House republicans retiring this cycle, and not because they envision being in the majority any time soon. Add that to the senate seats the Dems will pick up, and we're in fine shape in congress. This is the poll that has Bush at 19%. http://americanresearchgroup.com/economy/

The original articles from the New York Times and Washington Post didn't say he was having an affair, but that aides were so concerned about appearances, they told her and him to back off. Of course, you feel no need to know what was actually printed and just start screaming about ``liberals'' and ``the Clintons.'' The Bush supporters biggest problem is, they know what a disaster Bush is and that Clinton was much better. The fact that they cannot admit this is what makes them even more bitter. Bush is the worst of all time.
