Yes his fast rise is proving his is a failure.

Obama's is a very unlikely rise to the top, particularly, as every other potential candidate for the presidency has been turned inside out and upside down as the press goes on a feeding frenzy to narrow the field to the least electable Republican.

After three years of Obama, he is like an unfinished portrait, still shadowy and undefined. He is great at giving speeches which despite their length or brevity, mask or obscure his agenda as we see it playing out as the US "change."

Obama's success is not based upon measurable achievement, although he does occasionally, appear to be charismatic. At least, to those who are susceptible to his "charm." I would say that his greatest accomplishment is to have been in the right place, at the right time, with the same powerful and influential people promoting him for their own benefit.

I have read his book, Dreams from my Father, and came away with clearer pictures of his mother's Indonesian husband and his African family than I did of him or his immediate family members. He remains a conundrum, but the agenda, which is gradually becoming cleat, is being implemented, with or without Congress, which has largely abdicated its responsibility to the public and is gradually devolving into a purely ceremonial body.
