As for the state of Pennsylvania it's not a toss up anymore. He lost this state. It was a waste of his limited funds to keep campaigning here.
The latest polls show the score. http://www.pollster.com/polls/pa/08-pa-pres-g... It's over Johnny. |

Yes acorn polls show obama in the lead with everyone polling 1800 times per person aol polls has mccain in the lead and topix polls has mccain in the lead mccain will win you lose obama hahahaha.....

More smear tactics from the McCain camp. I'll admit that Acorn may not help Obama, but the hard working citizens, poor and middle class should stay focused and realized what is at stake here. Remember that McCain, like Bush is for deregulation, taxing your healthcare, giving big taxcuts to the rich and leaving you with the burden of higher taxes, inacessable and unaffordable healthcare for many and cuts to SS and Medicare. McCain has a short fuse and we can't continue or risk another war.

Learn what polling actually is. Try not to broadcast your ignorance too loud. |

Obama's smear tactics worked against Clinton. Let's see if what is good for the goose is good for the gander. |

Obama ads are 25% negative and 75% positive. McCain ads are now 100% negative. Desperate people do desperate things and it is clear that McCain is desperate and pathetic.
Positive = candidate telling us about himself and what he will do. Negative = candidate slamming his opponent. As for Palin she obviously shows her lack of intelligence when she can only answer memorized talking points. When she had to come up with answers on her own (Katie CBS interviews) she became the laughing stock of the nation. Even at her debate it was clear she was told that if one of her memorized spoon fed answers didn't fit the question to just give the answer anyway, even if it had nothing to do with the question. |

Can one of you Obama supporters name one homeless person who ever created a job. Taxing what you percieve as "rich" grows NO jobs. I would also like to know in the past 10 years how many private sector jobs were created vs. governmental jobs. I bet the number would be higher for the government. We are on a slippery slope to socialism and once we arrive, there is no going back.

McCains campaign has no substance, just dirty tricks and far fetched attacks. the people want to hear plans-not garbage. if you have to win a election on tricks, then you shouldn't be there at all.

What if they used the $30 million each week to HELP PEOPLE instead of bash each other? What a waste of money. Think of how many people could be fed with all that money. And yet they spend, spend, spend.
|
|
Agreed, but it is the only way to get their message out. At least people are voluntarily giving money to Obama, so it is not like he is stealing it from them. By the way, Bush is out doing fundraisers to help McCain out. It sure seems like he would have something more important to do considering we are fighting 2 wars during a financial crisis. I guess everyone has priorities. |
|
Remember, he is only rolling back the Bush tax cuts for people making greater than $250,000. That means that taxes for the rich will be at the same level they were when Reagan was in office. Reagan = socialism? The middle class having no money is the reason that corporation can't grow. We can't buy their products. |
|
|
America, please wake up. Whichever candidate who wins this election WILL HAVE TO RAISE TAXES. This deficit, this crisis has to be paid for.
If you believe either candidate when they say they will cut taxes or leave where they are you are deluding yourself. The borrowing and spending days are over. It is time to pay the bill. |

The sad truth is that we need a new political party with fresh leadership based upon respect, honesty, and integrity. Both candidates are spending sooo much money that they have lost sight that Rome is burning as they are SPENDING millons of dollars smearing each other. If they were truly patriotic they would practice what they preach and stop wasting tax payer dollars on negative campaign ads.
Both these politicians are not interested in the country, or they would stop the bleeding by stopping the spending on negative ads. And the Morning call is no better, adding fuel to the fire by airing the negativity insteading of writing editorials about democracy and change. But, that might cost the paper money for political garbage ads. Way to go! Morning Call!!! The best writers are here on the Morning Call blog.. What a sad statement for a socalled newspaper that has turned into a gossip paper no better than the rags at the supermarket like the National Enquirer. |
|
We all need to pay more taxes to pay for the stupid war(s). But right now, if we tax the middle class more, the economy will continue to head in the wrong direction. People can't afford high food prices, gas prices, and heating prices as it is. |
|
Obama is not spending peoples tax dollars, he is spending what people voluntarily give him. I guess McCain is using tax money, but he is also at a disadvantage because of it. |

Anybody here about the Hockey Ditz, going to drop the puck at the flyers game? One more reason to hate the flyers. The owner contributes to Mcsame's campaign. Hockey bimbo gets to drop the puck, and its going to be done in the state of PA. Wow the republiscams really think people are stupid.

This is a very sad time in the stellar career of of a fine man, Senator John McCain. I've cheered him on even when he got beat up by the powers that be in 2000. Since then and especially now he seems to have been seduced by the very people who savaged him. He DID get it right with the surge in Iraq no matter what detractors might want you to think. He deserves some credit there; but his campaign is giving him and especially Sarah Palin things to say that are getting close to inciting crowds to violent thoughts. It's getting scary and he should make sure it stops before someone gets hurt. Its the responsible thing to do, set the tone. If he's putting America First, he should first want America to be a place where reckless accusations capable of inciting violence are NOT part of the political discussion. I feel so sorry for the John McCain I used to admire.

McCain's $85,000 campaign funding sure looks miniscule compared to these wars. Hmm 7hrs in Iraq cost us the same as McCains whole campaign. So don't worry about the campaign money. We need to get out of these wars! http://theiraqinsider.blogspot.com/2008/02/ho... |

You are right we are truly on a slippery slope to socialism. Those crazy NWO conspiracy guys dont sound so crazy now. I mean global economic crisis, global energy crisis, global food crisis, fear tactics, and I hope remembers the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive that gives W the power to do what ever he wants during times of national crisis. I could just be reading in between the lines but it doent seemed that far fethed now. |
so true. |
