Obama choose Clinton? That would be Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity's absolute dream ticket!

Do you notice how nice the "republican stratigists" are when talking about Clinton? They love her; there's nothing that would make them happier; because that would actually generate a glimmer of "excitement" for the republican base.

A Clinton on Obama's ticket will only bring more republicans to the polls! Simply to vote against a Clinton!!!! Nothing fires-up the republican base like the name CLINTON!!

Let's see:

He went to an Ivy League school on his own merit

He’s been married to his wife for what is it? 13 or 14 years and he still looks at her in that special way. There has been NO taint of extra-marital affairs, abuse, or marital problems.

His fortune is self-made.

He is a mix of the two most populace races in America who have a long standing history of hate, mistrust and violence - He transcends both.

He has made serving the public his life's calling.

He’s an honest politician, even to his detriment.

He was candid about his youthful transgressions and his insecurities long before he ran for president.

He's not yet immersed and tainted in the scandal ridden, money-for-votes American political scene.

He refused to play by the old school politics of Chicago (which is why he did NOT get the Daley machine backing when he ran for U.S. Congress and lost to Daley machine darling, Bobby Rush). He also ran afoul the old guard, black political establishment in Chicago in his very first race by NOT playing by their old-school rules).

He has never been labeled or characterized as quick tempered, hot headed, impatient, rude, violent, bossy, high maintenance, manipulative, cut-throat, overly ambitious, dishonest or greedy by ANY associates, fellow senators, co-workers, friends, teachers, bosses, neighbors, employees, campaign workers, press. Only by constituents/public who have misconstrued myriad events to paint him as such. He has mostly earned the reputation of being aloof, introspective, serious, and thoughtful.

He was a community organizer/activist on the part of Chicago poor.

And yes, he is an inspiring, eloquent speaker

Opinions of Obama

Time Magazine photographer assigned to Obama during the primaries.
“Obama is absolutely un-self conscience. He never poses for a picture.”

Ira Silverstein, onetime Obama suitemate during his tenure in the IL Senate –
Obama peppered Silverstein with questions about Orthodox restriction on daily life: the kosher laws and sanctions against certain kinds of behavior on the Sabbath.“On the Sabbath, If I ever needed anything, Barrack would always offer,” remembers Silverstein.“Some of the doors are electric, so he would offer to open them… I didn’t expect that.”

Republican Illinois Senator and Poker Mate-
“I used to tell Obama that if he were more liberal in his poker game and more conservative in his politics we’d get along just fine”

All adds up to the Devil if you look closely.

Anti-Obamites try to equate political maneuvering that is so endemic to the American Body Politic as to almost be a requirement to lack of character, honesty, trustworthiness and knowledge.

Anti-Obamites try to equate a bill vote with Obama ripping fetuses from the womb and stabbing them with a rusty screwdriver.

Anti-Obamites try to equate an obvious misstatement with Obama being so unintelligent that he doesn’t even know how many states are in the U.S. instead of regular old weariness of the rigors of campaigning.

Anti-Obamites try to equate the contemplations on the disenfranchisement of America’s heartland population and the frank, honest and probably painful confessions of familial flaws as a raging hate-filled racist invective against white people.

Anti-Obamites try to equate flexibility with weakness, and the requirement of regarding the professional opinions of others before committing to political policies with global impact as “wishy-washy”.

Anti-Obamites try to equate his lack of underhandedness with elitism and snobbery.

Anti-Obamites try to equate his pledge to address humanitarian needs and issue both at home and abroad to either the Jesus or the Hitler complex.

Anti-Obamites try to equate the standard creative writing and slight exaggeration of ones memoirs to delusional lying megalomaniac.

Anti-Obamites have tried to equate the criticism of oppression with reverse racism and hate.

Anti-Obamites have tried to intimate that his overwhelming popularity and fundraising is nothing more than the secret funneling of terrorist and/or illicit corporate pandering.

Anti-Obamites have tried to intimate that Obama hates America and wants to bring about its downfall because he doesn’t wear a flag pin and put his hand over his heart during ceremonial services.

And because there is NO LOW TOO LOW-

Anti-Obamites have tried to paint him as someone who does drugs and has homosexual sex with a certifiable looser in the back of a limo.

Anti-Obamites have tried to paint his wife as a hollerin’ shoutin’ belligerent, ignorant neck rollin, racist, handout receiving, lazy, ugly, uncouth, black mammy.

Oh, and anti-Obamites have been DEAD SILENT on the one man who probably had the BIGGEST influence on Obama, His white grandfather.

Real grown up JB. Way to go. Why don't you find out where Afghanistan is on a map, buy some stock, learn the names of 5 other world leaders and their position title, learn how many votes it takes to pass a bill from one house to the other and form a real political opinion.

Leadership is "staying the course" huh? No surprise there. Please continue to try and define Leadership as anything that you believe Obama doesn't have in that very self-serving vein. The only problem is, that when you throw it against "reality" it doesn't stick as that is NOT the trait that has defined presidents, presidential candidates nor great or bad leaders of the past.
Oh, wait, is this on of those *new* requirement that have been cropping up all over the place since this election?
No leadership is criticizing the existing administration stating we needed 20,000 more troops for a surge prior to the troops being sent. I believe Obama voted against the surge, as well as funding the troops. It is recognized by most rational people on the left that the surge has worked.

Well! "Robin the First" is at it again. Does she really think anyone reads her overly long rants in praise of her "hero?" Don't think so. First sentence is enough to give it a pass. Yawn. Give it a rest and get a job.

I believe that Obama has made a precise choice to lose these elections. He's been weak and defensive till now and he's not going to make the most single choice that could bring him the presidency: getting Hillary on the ticket. I am not a fanatic supporter of Hillary, but it's undeniable she has the experience Obama unfortunately lacks. He's showing his lack of experience every day now.

Can someone please explain why (other than the constant blabbering of right wingnuts like rush, hannity, etc.) foreign policy is at the TOP of the skills list?

exactly what "foreign policy" skills did so called president bush have prior to taking office?

Zero.

it's called the Cabinet. it's called you surround yourself with an experienced/skilled Cabinet.

and given the current situation of Russia flexing it's own military muscle in Georgia (and possibly beyond) just what "foreign policy" experience of president bush and his advisers is going to lead to Russia backing down and getting out of Georgia?

yelling at the Russians or saying "pretty please"?

What a Load.

the lack of foreign policy experience is just one more feeble red herring thrown out by the clownservatives.

No matter who Obama selects as his VP, the indiviual will undoubtedly have more political experience than Obama himself.

Obama has been nothing but a disappointment to the people of Illinois who elected him senator (myself included). He said shortly after being elected that he would not run for the presidency because he didn't believe that he had enough experience. 143 days after being elected, he launched his presidential campaign.

I'm glad that Americans are finally starting to see that aside from being charismatic, good looking and one who reads speeches rather well, there really is little substance to him.

This Democrat will vote for John McCain in November.

Yeah, the troop surge brought about resolution of 2000 years of tribal warfare, put an end to jihad, defeated terrorism and brought stabilization and democracy to Iraq. Or more likely, more boots and guns on the ground have resulted in less violence... while those boots and guns are on the ground.

Ahhh, the well used but meaningless kool-aid reference meant to invoke the massacre of infants, children, the elderly and the innocent by Jim Jones. It's a pathetic sad reference that speaks volumes about those who use it.

Is it a democratic political campaign by a couple of politicians? NO-it's MASS SUICIDE and HITLER and GAS CHAMBERS and upppity negroes will be rapin our wimin and slitin our throats iffin the mooslems don't get us firs. It's the apocolyps and armageddon and nuclear war all rolled into one.

End of enlightened conversation.
