If a citizen cannot be wiretapped without a court warrant, that is something we can live with.

The next Congress can always fix problems up with the new President.

I have to agree. Frankly, it is time for Congress to stand up to the White House and the telecoms who KNEW that they were breaking the law, and put Bush and his friends in the telecoms in prison where they belong.

F!@king Bush... This is just one of the many examples that shows the nation what childish, arrogant, narcassistic scam the Bush Administration is and how selfish they are when they don't have a Republican-controlled Congress to rubber-stamp every little thing that thier little hearts desires.

once again the likes of you and people like you fail to see the big picture and the implications of screwing around with perfectly good laes on the subject of wiretapping. I'd LOVE for you to be one of the ones who has their rights imfringed upon so the rest of us can say _ told ya so. Because that may be the only way some right wing nuts actually begin to GET IT

Nazi Herman Goring said in prison after WW II, "It is easy to control the masses and gain power.. just tell them they are in danger, we will protect you, and dissenters are unpatriotic."

In other words, use fear mongering to gain power.. the neo-con GOP's are still at it. They have exaggerated the dangers of terrorism to gain power and move US toward fascism.

I would rather be honorable and courageous than this crap of fearful of everything and giving up freedoms and honor.

I don't know what to do about the runaway gas prices, or the economy, crime, or wiretapping. But I do know something that will get the attention of the government to solve these problems. So I want you to get up, go over to your window or front door. Open it up and yell at the top of your lungs, "I'm Mad As Hell. And I'm Not Going To Put Up With This Anymore!"

Only thing wrong with that post is that it should read, "...the dimwitted Democrats..."

It IS the stupid Democratic contgress that kills all good, decent legislative proposals.

Henceforth, all Americans should inject words like "bomb", "jihad", "Iran", "infidel", "Allah", and "Holy War" into their everyday phone calls.

It is difficult to respect our "elected" officials anymore. Too many of our citizens live their lives for the accumulation of material wealth, with an abject lack of foresight for the price that will be paid by all our country's citizens in the future. Too few want to give up convenience(as if it thier god-given right), nor are they willing to take a stand for the good of all. They bow down all too readily while espousing that they are patriotic and are eager to condemn those who dare address the most pressing issues. Most do not realize the value of freedom until their own individual rights are eliminated. By then we all pay dearly and painfully.

Exaggerated the dangers????? You have been eating those mushrooms again, haven't you?
The things you state on your hate filled posts prove that you have no concept of what honorable and courageous stand for.

Here's a list of terroist acts since 1963, most against the US. There's nothing exaggerated about these!!! Find another bandwagon to jump on, yours is worn out!!!

The tools to combat "terrorism" existed on 9/10/2001. Had our fellow Americans done their jobs, the events of 9/11/2001 might not have occurred.

Notice how no one was ever fired or punished for their failure surrounding 9/11?

America has taken a page from the Israel model of secrity. We are being controlled by our vanity and paranoia.

Any such attempts to further diminish individual rights must be halted and reversed.

The U.S must retract its support for Israel and the U.S. must find an intelligent means of dealing with all those in the world whose voices are being drowned out by those who control the airwaves.

HALT U.S. SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL, NOW.

RETURN AMERICAN PRIVACY, RIGHTS, LIBERTIES AND FREEDOMS TO THE PEOPLE.

PROSECUTE ALL THOSE WHO FAILED OUT NAITON ON 9/11, NOW!

Sounds like our president for 8 years rolled the Democrats. I love the profiling aspect of it; you talk on the horn to a country sympathetic to freedom fighting Islamic types, we're listening.

I was in NY on 9/11. I saw what happened. I walk those same street today. The so-called "danger" from "terroism" is hot air.

The "War on Terror" is yet another W.M.D.(Weapon of Mass Distraction) engineered by a bunch of facist wanna-be's.

The events of 9/11 have been used by certain groups to garner additional U.S support for Israel. The events of 9/11 have been used by certain groups to further diminish the rights, freedoms and liberties of all Americans in favor of a select few.

The real threat to your daily life is a government that does not serve the needs of the people.

The so-called terroists of 9/11 gave us their best shot and only managed to kill 3,500 people out of a nation of 350 MILLION. Do the math.

It is those who are so willing to trade OUR liberty for THEIR personal comfort, who are the real danger to our nation.

Any idiot can kill someone they don't like. You might be willing to kill for this nation, but are you ready to give your life for it? I doubt it seriously.

To protect our rights, liberties and freedoms; people will sometimes die, Be it from so-called "terroism" or actual war.

If you aren't willing to give up your life to preserve and defend the rights, liberties and freedoms afforded you by this nation, then just shut your ugly, stinking mouth.

A lot of good people gave their lives to keep facism from overtaking this country and no imbeciles such as yourself are invading us from within. For what? Comfort? Vanity? Pride?

Death is never tragic. Tragic is when a person dies, never having lived. Wake up.
