Why, suddenly, is ANY information about this candidate not coming from mainstream media, but from the blogosphere by citizens seeking facts and the truth? Why isn't our media connecting the dots with Islam? Why do they focus on 'those bad American soldiers' while Islam slaughters non Muslims daily in 44 countries around the globe? Why does our media refer to Darfur as 'ethnic cleansing' instead of what it really is; Muslims killing non Muslims! There is enough strange, anti-American activity surrounding Barak Hussein Obama to pique the curiosity of any reporter. WHERE IS OUR INVESTIGATIVE MEDIA!?

What's the connection with Islam have to do with 4K americans who have loss their lives in Iraq defending the lives of people committed to ISLAM?

Aside from that, that was an awesome display during his speech today. Every American has to be proud to see the reception Obama received from the Europeans. The Europeans were waving American flags, over 100K strong. How is it that the world over recognizes the historical accomplishments of what Obama's achieved and a lot of Americans don't acknowledge this accomplishment.

He's done more for foreign affairs during the last week than this administration has done in the last seven years. Wouldn't it be something now to come and announce Colin Powell as Vice President.

May i also add to that, the first Queen of England was also "Black", also, Abraham Lincoln, who had "wooly" hair that his constituants clowned him about, had a "Black" mother! Shocking isn't it? Fascinating how some many people tend to hint that just about "all" the crime committed in this country is primarily caused by "Blacks", which is an assinine statement to make. "Black" families have been HISTORICALLY under attack in this country, which can lend credence to the large "Black" male population incarcerated. Remove the male from the family, especially the STRONG ones, stamp out the guidance system for young "Black" males and the rippling effect continues. How could one explain the prison population of states that have few or no "Black" people, i.e, Vermont, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Wyoming? They have prisons too! Enough on that note but, the last president that was, "Red, white and blue" in my humble opinion was JFK, despite his shortcomings, he lived it and breathed, read his book, "Profiles of courage". To say that Obama "isn't" R,W&B is a bit late don't you think? Apparently, he got elected to the Senate, i guess that doesn't count either?

Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya , his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro!).

As far as the original question if America is ready to elect a black president: Obama could not have won the democratic nomination without plenty of white votes. Remember Jesse Jackson ran and while getting 99% of the black vote, he still got crushed in the election. What troubles me is that I can kind of sense that there will be black resentment/paranoia if he doesn't win. Remember Obama has almost zero experience, and seems to talk from both sides of his mouth. And sorry, spending twenty plus years in a racist church and calling the racist speaker his spiritual mentor doesn't exactly help him.
