And forever the Obama supporter veiled in MSM credintials. There is no way that either candidate will be able to get the number of delegates needed to secure the nomination. So why not allow the process to sort itself out? Hillary has put up a good fight, and has done reasonably well in most states. She would be doing better if Michigan and Florida were counted, but I agree those states broke the rules.
What Obama supporters, and probably Obama himself, fear most. Is that if it gets to the convention, then all this campaigning may have been for nothing. Hillary swings a big stick, and could possibly pull an upset.
Obama, and his supporters, feel he is entitled to the nomination, and by extention the PResidency. Wait till after the convention, and if Obama gets the nomination. There will be calls for McCain to step aside, because Barack is his majesty anointed ruler of the USA.

Game over for Clinton, time to focus on November
With his 14 percentage point victory in North Carolina, Obama won the considerably bigger state by the considerably bigger margin, overcoming polling going into the vote that had suggested a Clinton surge.

If Obama gets the nomination (which it looks like he will) many of us who voted for Hillary will not support the party, much less vote at all. I was at a rally where we were urged to vote for McCain as a statement but I thik I'll just drop out instead of put a vote in for a republican. Too much has been said, too much hurt, too much suspicion about his mentors.I've been made to feel as if he is looking down at me I couldnt vote for him because I voted against him. I am not racist, I dont care if he's purple, I just dont like him at all.I wasnt wild about Hillary either but I think she would do a far better job and woulda done everything he says he will do but she would do it alot quicker and with more widespread support.

You always have the option of writing in a nominee. I haven't personally decided if I will write in Clinton's name or vote for McCain. I just know I will not vote for Obama. He will cost democrats this election and ruin himself politically. The advantage of voting McCain is that he will likely only last 4 years and then Clinton can run again in 2012. The advantage of a write-in is that it truly does make a statement to the DNC. How are they going to respond to millions of votes for Clinton and the losss of an election? |

....how can anyone who supports Hillary and her proposed policies turn around and vote for McCain????...what are you smoking...or is it a personality cult about Her Highness??...for goodness sakes, either you haven't bothered to examine Hillary's policies against Obama's (hint=they are very close...) or does it have to do with something else????...maybe someone's "true colors" are shining through... |

Quoted by MLH " or does it have to do with something else????...maybe someone's "true colors" are shining through"
And that says it all for me. It is the very reason I wont vote for Obama because my own party has told me that the only reason I wont vote for him is because he is black. G.D. that just pisses me off. All the rallys, all the reading and listening to both candidates was for naught. If I made up my mind that I dont like this candidate then there is always going to be some a-hole like MLH to stir it up and make out like we are all racists hillbillies for not supporting Obama. Its like the republicans tried to make out that if you didnt vote for Bush you were considered to be boy loving satan worshipers. Enough is enough. And for your dumbazz comment MLH I may just vote for McCain indeed which would be the BIGGEST middle finger I could wave your way! |

Thank you MLH, thats another you sent Republican way. Keep this up and the Republicans wont have to run a campaign at all. They just have to let you race hate them all to them.
To tell you the truth, although there is no way in heck I would vote for Obama or Hillary. I was teetering on refusing to vote just on policy grounds. McCain is a rhino, a left leaning liberal Republican. He not only crosses the isle, but curls up in Kennedys lap and purrs. Thanks to you, though, I think I will probably go ahead and throw one McCains way, just to make sure Obama doesn't win. Your just costing Obama every time you type. |
if you think that will benefit you (cutting off nose to spite face?), by all means go ahead...notice there was no substantive reason for voting for McCain...hmmmm...couldn't be racism, could it?...what else could it be???unless you have no real idea why you vote for someone....country roads, take you home! |

You only know one thing don't you. I bet you are voting for Obama for, let me guess, one reason. Could it be that he is half black? I bet it is. I bet if the truth were out, the only racist here would be you. The rest of us have reasons of politics and policy not to agree with Obama. Your only claim is racism for all those opposed to him. That really makes you the racist. I can think of a few reasons I would vote FOR McCain, and can justify my decision. I simply don't agree with some of his policies and past actions. He plans to continue the tax cut. I like that. He wont just pull our troops out without leaving a stable government in its place. I like that. Theres two reasons to vote for McCain. Two more than I have ever had for voting for Obama. |

A general election of Barack Obama versus John McCain is in many ways a stark contest of experience versus change -- and change is currently winning, according to the new ABC/Washington Post poll:
Obama 51% McCain 44% Sample size: 1,122 adults. Margin of error:±3% For poll questions on different character traits, McCain leads on who has better experience (71%-18%) and who has better knowledge of world affairs (65%-24%). But Obama has big majorities on which candidate would bring needed change to Washington (59%-29%), better personality and temperament (56%-32%), better understands people's problems (54%-35%), and has a clearer vision for the future (54%-34%). The Obama camp announced the endorsements of Rep. Tom Allen of Maine, the party's candidate for U.S. Senate, Sen. Daniel Akaka of Hawaii, DNC member Dolly Strazar of Hawaii, and Idaho state party chair Keith Roark. According to the Obama camp's numbers, he is now exactly 150 delegates away from clinching the nomination. http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.c... |

Leave the race card out of this. Race has nothing to do with my decision. I won't vote for Obama because I don't trust him. Obama has no real policies, no real solutions, and no real experience. McCain wouldn't be my first choice, but I think he will do far less damage in 4 years than Obama will do in 8 years. The republicans will destroy Obama politically before this election is over. Hillary will be free to run and win in 2012. Obama has some huge problems with his candidacy and they have nothing to do with race. Keith Olbermann may think West Virginia means nothing, but he's wrong. Obama supporter go on and on about how WV isn't an important loss because the points have essentially remained the same in that state since January and they are missing the big picture. Who cares about trends? What should scare them is the fact that there is a large core percent of Clinton voters (across all states) who have not moved with ANY trend. These are the voters Obama needs to win in November. If they haven't shifted to him now, if they haven't shifted at all, why would anyone think they'll shift to Obama before November. It doesn't make sense. 39% of Clinton supporters in California say they will vote for McCain in November. 20% more say they won't vote at all. At only 54% democrat, California isn't all that Liberal. Clinton won in conservative Central Valley counties by 30%-40%. Obama will not carry the state of California because he won't win in these counties. They will cross over to a middle ground republican just as the polls indicate. He won't win in Michigan or Florida because he ignored their votes. He won't win in states like West Virgina for reasons already mentioned. I don't think Obama can win if the republicans don't go on the attack.-But they will. |
