No.. they are not jailed... please understand that these children may have been emotionally and sexually abused... We as Americans cannot turn our back on them and allow this to continue. We must investigate and while it is being investigated, they children cannot stay with the accused abusers. That would just be absurd! This process is not as slow as a criminal case and the well being of the children comes first.. NOT the rights of the parents who MAY have committed the abuse. When you rape a child, and the child crys rape.. you lose your rights to that child while the authorities check to see if really did happen... Believe me I am the first to cryout against the atrocities of our government.. But I feel that the DCFS are doing the very best they can.. The FBI and police were involved WITH DCFS... Ask any DCFS worker, they take police even if they THINK there may be ANY trouble... Aquarius-WY wrote: <quoted text> So the accused ones are free and the children are in jail. This IS twisted. I know, I know you call it 'protective custody'...

Do you think they should not have a trial and just let them all go? They are not in jail now. They had legal probable cause to enter the compound (they had a warrant, that comes from the judicial system). They are now reviewing evidence. In ALL cases involving child protection. The children are removed from the parents while the investigation takes place. And this has happened to me. I was questioned regarding a minor injury to a child under my and my girlfriends care. The child was removed from the parents until child protection determined it was safe. I did cooperate, and didn't cry out that my rights were being violated. Since I had nothing to hide, I answered the questions and they quickly reunited the child with their parents. I know full well where the warrant came from...that is where the abuse of rights started in the first place. People we live in a police state and you still cling to the outdated belief that we are free....HA Read 'Mein Kampf' or the 'Communist Manifesto' get a clue of what has already happened to your own individual rights. Anyone who thinks that the Const...never mind.

Does godly mean raping children? Does polygamy mean raping chidren? Thats it continue to hide behind god and continue to rape children! Hannah Rebekah wrote: <quoted text> Sounds like a lot of gossip going around and people need to understand that whats being written isn't necessarily the whole truth nor is it portraying things accurately. I'm from Utah and many of the things thrown around on these forums are just not true about these people. It's sad that they are guilty already in the court of public opinion. They are a very devout, honest, faithful, humble Godly people who happen to believe in polygamy. I can't say if abuse is going on as it goes on in all walks of life. But I do believe that many if not most are not guilty. And who knows maybe no one is guilty. I hope they get their things cleared up and maybe they will put into place self imposed standards that will keep them from future events such as this round-up.

Right on the Money wrote: <quoted text> There is evidence or they would not be able to take 410 children and obviously the judge felt it was warranted to take the phones away and he did. Why do you feel it necessary to bring up Waco when there are obviously children being raped from the time the girls are 11 and up and we all know that it is probably before then. And no one has mentioned the children with the deformities and the brain damage from the incest. There is a very good reporter our there who has been on this for the last ten years and he speaks of the children who are hidden away. Try defending something worth defending. Perhaps they should present the evidence. Or you should then? Hate to tell you but mental retardation isn't all from incest. Try presenting facts. If they knew all this all these years and allowed it are they complicit?

I thought this was a country of law. Where are the laws against polygamy. They need to round up the adults then try them and jailed them if convicted. They are flaunting Americans law. It's like they're mocking our country in its laws. Law-enforcement needs to act now and forcefully.

Do you have other quotes that make the point of liberties being trampled on? I will have to do a search. Thanks.

Those women remind me of Stepford wives, and there sure are a lot of them, girls of all ages and sizes everywhere. But what they do with the extra boys? You know, the teenage boys that nature makes for the teenage girls. Something is missing from the picture. Why was information on cyanide poisoning found? Why is there a cement factory when they live in log cabins?

And some even act weird as well and don't know how to speak or communicate very well. Examples of weird in my book: numerous body piercings tattoos, especially the extreme high spiked pointed hair or other extreme does. weird florescence colored hair or strange colors strange or very immodest clothing Get the point? So what do looks prove? Nothing at all...Zero...Zilch...Nada Weird is not against the law!!! So the next time you see someone in mainstream who is weird I hope you think about your judgments on these poor people. They are no more weird than the Amish or the ones I mentioned above. They are just different and the last I checked that was not against the law or an indication they were involved in abuse. So if you want to talk facts about abuse then lets see you quote the laws that have been broken and give the proof...until then these people are innocent until proven guilty. They are U.S. citizens just like you. are you married with children hannah?

I know Wyoming isn’t exactly the epicenter of technology but you are aware of television, newspapers, you’re on the internet and a whole bunch of different means for spreading information over vast areas. Polygamy is inherently abusive. In some cases it is sexual, but for the most part its mental abuse. Regardless of whether or not there was sexual abuse in this case the children and their mothers should removed from the environment. I learned that one from books incase you were going to say that NJ is too far from Texas again.:)

416 children taking away from their families. Like others on the board, I am concerned about the reports we have heard, and I am glad that an investigation has started. But they are taking way too long - certainly they should be clearing and releasing some of the children by now.

My thoughts and prayers are will each and every man, woman and child affected by this situation. I do not believe in the FLDS church, but I do believe that every adult over the age of 18 has the right to live their own life. I hope that the children who are in the protective custody of the state are being cared for in a positive manner and that they are being assured that this situation is not their fault.
