His bigotry and ignorance knows absolutely no bounds. Sometimes I almost feel sorry for him, he has no life of his own and has to live what little he does have on Gay Topix making up stuff.

I agree with you. I'm not big on the gay marriage thing or anything, however, my belief in civil and human rights goes beyond this. Just wanted to state that first. You're right. We learn about African Americans contributions as well as latinos, Europeans, christians, and so on, but never learn about gays contributions and how they play a role in civil rights or human rights. Again, I am personally not for gay marriage and not for religious reasons, but I do believe that learning about different groups...all groups can help teach people in general tolerance at least. It's not teaching a child to be gay because first of all, you do not learn to be gay but rather you are or you are not gay. There are plenty of children who grew up in same sex homes who grow up to love and marry a person of the opposite (not being gay). I do also believe that the LGBT community have a horrible way of communicating with others trying to show them or us that their community aren't all about sex with random people. If you've been to any gay pride parades, you'll know exactly what I am speaking of or just speak to many gays and lesbians speak about their "dating" patterns. It's no wonder why heterosexuals have a disdain for them. I'm not one-sided, but speaking from experience.

I find your comment about gay prides parades very small minded or at minimum poorly educated. Do you honest believe that the 300 some Mormons who marched in the Salt Lake City Gay Pride 2012 Parade would have participated if they believed there was anything opening sexual going on?

And that is the same case to be made for most all of the Gay Pride Parades in this nation today. Family, friends, children and adults all attend these parades now, marching or as viewers. Time to update your own thinking regarding this and stop believing the Pride Parades of today are those of the past century.

As to the dating issue Gay men are no more horn dogs than straight men if they have the same opportunities. Facts are facts. Just check out the Craigslist personal listings for your area (all segments) and you'll clearly get the point. Its not as black and white as you choose to see it, there's a heck of a lot of grey in there as well.

I don't care one bit why anti-gay people are anti-gay. That's their problem not mine. And it's been that way for years with me. They are a dying breed and people who really know Gays know we're good productive, tax paying, neighborly people who just want to live our lives in peace and have equal rights like all other Americans. Most of them are anti-gay because they don't know any or won't admit they do. They were taught by their parents, who use to call them queers. They'll die off soon enough and those that are still alive are already dead to me as they should be to all gays. The world doesn't need them.

We don't need nor should we desire their acceptance nor approval. Nor should they expect we should play the fool and cater to their own personal issues with homosexuality. That should be their problem not ours. If I want to kiss my husband in my driveway each morning as he leaves for work (which I've done many times) or hold his hand while we have dinner (which we do on occasion) shouldn't be an issue for anyone. Screw those who believe differently. They didn't buy our house nor are they paying for our dinner.

Their children know and accept homosexuals for who they are, they've gone to school with them, attend their weddings, played sports with them, worked with and for them, they are friends with homosexuals. They KNOW Gays and Lesbians for who they are not some hate filled ignorance they were taught at home or at church.

And speaking of churches, the pews are getting more and more empty with each sermon about the ills of homosexuality. If they continue as they are they will need to close their doors when the last funeral is held. More and more young people are either leaving the church or looking for a truly accepting church. They are sick and tired of hearing about the sinning homosexual while those at the pulpit ignore the sin of divorce or adultry and the healing of the sick and lame.

The average "christian" minister preaches of the supposed sin of homosexuality four times a year and it tears at the hearts of the young people who damned well know better. Soon they will no longer have any sheep to sheer of their money and will have to move on to other ventures.

Pull all that out of YOUR azz Einstein.

While I do not approve of hard earned taxpayer money being spent to teach Homosexuality to innocent little children, and the girls, in expensive forced taxpayer funded Government schools, I love my Homosexual friends, the lesbians, and even the "Blacks".

Even so, now that the "Blacks" are in control of the White House, I do not approve of them prompting representatives from the Homosexual community voting block to "give the finger" to past presidents who were White non-Homosexuals while they are engaged in "diversity celebrations" with one another.
