James,
Don't you have an Anger Management Class to go to?
Your opinions are not reality based. Having said that, I am glad that you are tuning in to MSNBC/Olberman, perhaps the truth will eventually sink in and wash all that faux/limpburger cheese out of your head.

I think Obama will win the nomination, but he's not the right candidate. I find his so called "superior judgement and intellect" incredibly lame when you look at the case of characters he's been associated with over the past 20 years. He's lucked out on Iraq, but his track record suggests he probably would have gone along with the majority if he was to have voted. His promises ring hollow - look at NAFTA and what his now departed advisor said about troops remaining in Iraq. His lack of any real experience especially at the national and international levels has been spun to a positive with declarations of "Change". In short, a typical politican that will end up disappointing and disillusioning his more naive supporters.

Frank, not sure why you'd call me Brian. Anyway, I disagree with you on some issues but would probably laugh with you at a comedy or sing along with you at a concert. We dont hate each other,we dont want each other annhilated, we just have different views, hopefully ones that wont polarize us or cause us to sue or harass or want to harm each other. So if any names I might have applied to you were offensive, I didnt mean it. I am not a right wing zealot and you are not a left wing idiot. Its just the temptation to be sarcastic. I hope we can disagree with less animosity. I just feel JONeill lurking and that guy can piss off a lot of people with his words. I dont mean to do that to you. I wish more people were like you, not your liberal views, but your attitude. Have a great weekend !

Unwilling to cut the ties, Obama failed to separate himself from Rev. Wright, and hence from the destructive and divisive racial grievance industry that he and others have established. Obama wants to be the post-racial candidate while still courting the support, with a wink and a nod, of the race-baiters who can help him get nominated. He cannot do both.

No We Can't...

Thanks Obamamama,
I appreciate your kindness. There is a fellow named Brian that also takes JO to task on a regular basis, and oft times it seems that when he is on a roll, all of a sudden a lot of other "people" chime in saying pretty much the same thing, using the same phrases, even misspelling the same words. I have often suspected that Brian was making up aliases to try to make JO think the whole town was turning against him. Brian always denys this, and I always apoligise for accusing him, so once again , sorry. I'll try to stop with the suspicions.
No I don't hate conservatives. Many of my friends are conservatives. We debate and try to be tactful, know when to back off, and when to move on. I just like debating politics, and need to be able to type and spell proficiently for my job. So I practice and blow off a little steam here. I try not to be overly offensive and I don't take the little barbs thrown my way as being of great affront. I have to admit that I like to throw a few of my own, not in a hateful way, but more from a common sense, objective perspective. Some may disagree, but thats how I see it. Iv'e found that you pretty much reap what you sow, and although many if not most here disagree with me, by and large the disagreements have remained respectful. For that I am grateful.
May you have a wonderful weekend as well, and have a very happy Easter with your family.

"We have to fight the terrorists in Iraq, or fight them in our shopping malls"...

How about doing the same thing we did when the super-patriot twits told us the dominoes would fall, Southeast Asia would fall H/O Chi Minh take over the whole area and would be attacking San Francisco if we didn't win in Viet Nam?

What did we do? We finally got out of Viet Nam after 50,000 brave young American kids came home in body bags and started minding our own business.

Face it. We are in Iraq because of oil. Next thing you know, we'll be putting all the Iraquis on reservations, just like we did the American Indians. Iraq is this generation's Viet Nam.

So please, spare me the domino theories, we've outgrown them. Think up a better rationalization for you to think 4000 American kids dying in Iraq somehow contributes to the security of our Nation or the American way of life and is a good idea that should be continued until we accomplish.... what?

"stabalization"? Yeah, the earth is curved, that horizon keeps moving doesn't it?

And those good patriotic American boys and girls keep going over to Iraq, with many coming back crippled, mained, or in body bags, right?

And you want this continue?

McCain has an excuse. They kept him in that 4X4 foot box for 37 months in Hanoi, what's your excuse?

Not to mention the Iraquis have been involved in violent conflict in the middle east since the days of the Bible. Get a clue, we aren't going to stop it. Right after we leave, their culture of killing will continue.

Let them kill each other, not American kids!

GO OBAMA!

A Clinton campaign insider has admitted to Politico.com that Clinton only has a 10% chance of winning the nomination at best. That would involve her winning all 10 remaining states by 60% or better, which is very unlikely, as Obama is very strong in Oregon and North Carolina, at a minimum. Here is the total article, and their analysis, which shows the near-impossibility of Hillary winning:

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0308/914...

Hillary should quit dividing the party, endorse Obama, and get on with the job of defeating McCain and moving America forward.

Brad,
It is a stretch to say that the IED's are being manufactured BY the govt of Iran. It is also a stretch to say that those using them are bona fied Alqaeda, and not just Sunni insurgents that have claimed allegence to people that they don't even know, but just admire for their ability to inflict damage on the occupying force that they despise. How would you feel if we had Saddams army patroling our streets?
If the other scoundrels were Democrats, so be it, throw them in jail. I don't like criminals of either party. You know that already.
To be honest with you, The whole Keating five thing was before my time, and I really don't know much about it. I just threw that in with the other stuff that you did ignore. Since you are so up on things, would you care to elaborate on Neil Bush's involvement in the S&L scandal? Or that he now heads the company that helps School Districts cope with The "no child's behind left" program.
Again my point went right (WRIGHT) over your head, and I feel no need to expound on every easily proven false statement you make. I'd be here too long. The Senate Ethics Committee looked at the entire Keating 5 and found two prominent Senators (John McCain and John Glenn) were not involved in any criminal wrong doing and were only minimally involved in the scandal requiring no censure by the Senate. If we are a country based on laws and justice and not anarchy we should accept the findings of those who we've put in place and asked to analyze the evidence. I think of John Glenn as an American hero, and I find disparaging his good name because of his party affiliation an insult to what I see as good about America. You, on the other hand, take a fact (McCain being one of the Keating 5) and disparage his name simply BECAUSE he is Republican.

Stay off those left wing web sites you frequent so often. They're smut in its purest form.

You wrote,“It is a stretch to say that the IED's are being manufactured BY the govt of Iran.” I have to ask then….Are they importing them from some source you are aware of? We have irrefutable evidence they are Iranian IEDs. It has been confirmed that a group of Iranians, including military officials, were captured in Iraq. It has been confirmed the IEDs used by terrorists to kill American soldiers is of Iranian origin. It has been confirmed al Qaeda uses those IEDs to kill American soldiers. It is a simple matter of connecting the dots. Where do these dots lead you?

Brad,
They make em locally, duh! It's not like there isnt plenty of explosives available in Iraq already.
The Officials were there on a diplomatic mission, were held on superficial grounds, and were soon released.
The dots go nowhere.
Fox IS smut, and should be outlawed.
Didn't I already put the Keating thing to rest? Fine McCain was only a little bit involved in the scandal. Whatever, there's plenty of other things to find fault with him on. How do you like the two Airbus lobbyists as senior members of his campaign staff?

Oh, sorry Brad, I forgot. You don't watch FAUX, because you only have a pair of rabbit ears up in a tree, or something like that. Yet you are an expert on all things political and historical, because you read "true" novels, not found in the fiction section, written by patriotic Americans who happen to identify themselves with the Republican Party. Alright, I can accept that.
I do think you are a very smart guy. I realize that coming from me, one who you have diagnosed with an "ultimate ignorant arrogance" problem, as well as my issues with untreated "hate filled psychosis", that might not mean very much to you. Never the less, I do appreciate your viewpoints, however wrongheaded and myoptic that I consider them to be. Happy Easter Brad, I hope that you have a great weekend.

Thats "juvenile", Frank....And for your suspicion, and JO's blatant lying accusation, that wasnt me.Only an idiot would falsely blame someone for something that ANY resident of Paradise/Magalia might think or do, re: "The idiot on the ridge JO"....But thanks for thinking of me, it means I'm getting under JO's skin and maybe he'll realize the hypocrisy, foolishness, and ignorance of his ramblings here on these forums that he attempts to dominate with his twisted logic. See ya.

First I suggest you look back and see you continue misquoting me when you claim I said "ultimate ignorant arrogance." I said to believe your candidates lose because my side fixes elections is the ultimate ignorant display of arrogance.
Second the books I refer to were mostly written by liberal left leaning journalists. Laurie Mylroie is a Harvard professor, former 1992 Clinton campaign expert on the Middle East, and also a former Nightline reporter for ABC.
Lawrence Wright (no relation to Jeremiah) is by no means right wing. His book never once assigned responsibility to either party for the failures causing 9/11. He just found the facts which created the problems by doing this stuff called research...(which would not be using only sources found on the internet with the name truth in them, i.e. truth 911, truthout, etc) and relayed those facts and where they take us.
You see Frank these guys are the liberals I actually admire. They look at the historical evidence and share it REGARDLESS of where it takes the reader.
Now you may claim Republicans enjoy reading them, but I must point out the Pulitzer is not right wing in any way.
I also would point out the information they convey is corroborated in many government documents like the 9/11 Commission, Senate Intelligence Committees and trials of the terrorists. The events regarding terror in the 90's came directly from evidence presented at the trials. Your information, as is Jaime O'Neill's, is copied from lefty websites with NO CORROBERATION, and in fact, are disputed by the same documents listed above. That seems not to bother you however. You repeat the lies, as does Jaime, as if they were fact.
Here’s an example Frank.
Lawrence Wright wrote in his Pulitzer Prize winning book how "the Wall" found our intelligence agencies unable to share National Security between CIA and FBI. "The Wall," written by Clinton Justice Dept Jaime Gorelick, protected terrorists entering the US from America and our ability to track them. Page 78 of the 9/11 Commission has the heading: Legal Constraints on the FBI and "the Wall." How is my pointing out that fact "right wing" or "Republican?" If sharing a fact makes me right wing I wear that badge with pride.
My purpose of writing is not to convince YOU to come to my side, nor is it to show your propaganda's inherent dishonesty. It is to share with others who haven't "lost it" THE TRUTH of what these liberal authors uncovered. Originally, you see Frank, that WAS (at a time I sided with liberals) the MOST IMPORTANT part of their persuasion.
Since we are ALL concerned with what's best for our country I want to point out (for others, not you Frank) "the Wall" prevented the CIA from telling the FBI two known al Qaeda had arrived at LAX on Jan 15, 2000. After their entry into the US via this Los Angeles airport "the Wall" continued to block the information from being shared. Does the fact those two son of a bitches flew the plane into the Pentagon bother you? Does the fact the FBI learned the whole story on 9/12 bother you?
You previously alleged the tracking of terrorist phone calls into the US was illegal…and actually went further claiming President Bush and the telecom companies should be criminally prosecuted for this. That mentality is the same mentality that erected "the Wall" protecting the terrorists from America instead of America against the terrorists. I write to remind others this form of "hate filled psychosis" might just cause another 9/11. Does that bother you?

Except I don't get your connection between Iraq and 911, there was none.

Most of the terrorists on the 911 planes were Saudi Arabians. Yet we continue trying to fornicate the football in Iraq, while the murderers that planned and executed the 911 attacks sit in Afghanistan with seeming impunity.

McCain spoke of "following them to the gates of Hell"... but he never mentions following them into Afghanistan... or even acknowledges they are in Afghanistan.

Nay, McCain talks like Bush Lite, voicing concern about Iran... Iran has lots of oil, don't they? Lots of oil and designation as the next great boogeyman of the Middle East... it gets old.

Hmmmmm....

At least Obama has pointed out as I have, that the terrorists are in Afghanistan and he does favor pursuing them.
