Wow...that's some accurate polling isn't it....The GE campaign has barely started and your pulling up polls from over a month back...Fox News even had McCain at +19....come on...all that polling is a joke. It's like me going around and asking everyone across the nation who is going to win the World Series in 2011 then putting the numbers on CNN. It's ridiculous.
When Obama wins in November all you bigots will cry a river! LOL!

Let's get real here think of what all the Republicans has done for us. Raise taxes, start a war they can't finish and too much talk about politics they don't know anything about. All they want is publicity and to make history like people are going to care when they get out of the oval office. President's come and go but who has made history very few. So I believe if Rep. are elected this time then worse will come for U.S.
I Believe Obama is the best candidate for U.S. President. After all we have been electing old and senial Republican that don't know what the hell is going on in the real world. GO OBAMA!!!!
Why is Obama the best candidate? What has he done? Just like Massachusetts current Governor Deval Patrick, he's been running on a slogan:"Change We Can Believe In". Patrick's was "Together We Can", and we always asked "Together we can What?". Now all who voted for him realize that the guy is a nobody and a total failure. Too late though...they have to live with their disastrous decision. The same will happen if Obama get elected. Hopefully, the general election is different than the primaries.

Let me fill in some of you about the real Obama from A perspective of a long time Illinois Citizen. When the Chicago democrat Machine decided to allow him to run (and of course win) for the Illinois Senate, it was reported that he one of the first things he did was go to Senate President Emil Jones and say, " I want to be a U.S. Senator and your going to help me.". When he did run for senate, the TOTALLY INEPT Illinois Republicans had NO ONE to put up against him. They "imported" a black gentleman named Allen Keyes, to oppose him. The people in Illinois saw right through this really stupid move, and voted for Obama about 2-1.
From the time he took the oath of office until he announced his running for President was a little over month,(Feb. 10, 2007). All this "man" has ever been is about his political agenda, not what's good for the people he was elected to serve. I'm sorry but I want someone running my country who cares.
The information that you have presented has and can be viewed on MSNBC. My question to you is what makes you believe that just because he wanted this position doesn't mean he doesn't care? Have you not aspired to want to do something for yourself and still in the process help others? In the beginning of that small movie/biography (if you watched it's entirety) he also stated that he wanted to make a difference and he wanted to help. He could have went anywhere but yet he chose to remain their. I'm sure the pay wasn't that great at the time when he was working on the Southside.

In closing being a Veteren I initially joined the military to serve my country, but I also enlisted to help my family and obtain benefits. So bottom line everyone has some sort of agenda but if you can benefit from it as well as others, then I don't knock their hustle (persay)

Just a few years ago, a dozen eggs cost about 99 cents. Now, they’re about $2.49.

Just a few years ago, gasoline cost about $1.09/gallon. Now, it’s about $4.00/gallon.

Bush/McCain-style Republicans have spent about $500 BILLION in Iraq and Afghanistan, destroying the value of the dollar, and RAISING THE COST OF EVERYTHING.

They also prevented generic drugs from hitting the market and prevented Americans from getting less expensive prescription drugs from Canada.

Overall, the Republicans aren’t doing so well lately. What could be wrong? Maybe...

* The economy going in to the toilet...
*$4.00+ for gasoline...
* Two botched wars...
* Giving our troops tanks without much armor...
* Providing substandard treatment in VA hospitals...
* Making the U.S. a country that’s known for TORTURING PEOPLE, then lying about it...
* Doing NEARLY NOTHING ABOUT ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION because they
want their rich fat-cat contributors to have plenty of cheap labor available.

Also, we can do without Bush/McCain-style fear-mongering that’s being pedaled as “experience” and failed war-mongering policies that have made Iran stronger.

Oh, and they’re the party that preaches to us about morals. Then they get caught, for example, having sex in airport bathrooms.

PEOPLE HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF DO-NOTHING REPUBLICANS!

Bush WAITED ABOUT FOUR DAYS TO REACT TO HURRICANE KATRINA.
On the day Katrina came ashore, where was Bush???
Bush was EATING CAKE with John McCain at a FUNDRAISING EVENT
( see the picture at http://www.newsweek.com/id/133551 )

Bush and McCain Republicans have become a NAUSEATING, BAD JOKE.

I'm sure the pay was not that great, but in Chicago the "graft" or "under the Table" is a WHOLE lot better then in other parts of America.

Plus MSNBC does not have the exclusive on all that I said. I'm sure the way they kiss Obama's A** they said or will ever say anything about all the "play fop pay" that goes on here or even Rezko and his crooked dealings, another close "friend" of the Dem Nominee.

Just a few years ago the Republicans controlled congress, why do you persist in blaming Bush for everything?

Before 06-07 Republicans controlled congress = 53% approval rating.

After 06-07 Democrats took over congress now = 18% approval rating.

You want to only blame Bush for everything, the Democrats cant even get their own primary right!

Apparently I made some points since you responded.... shrugs. It's just how I think and talk, dude. Quit whining over insignificant crap.

I was asking what Senator Obamas' accomplishments were that warranted the belief that he was going to make real change if elected.
So I listed one, one I consider big. There are others too.

Okaaay.*looks puzzled as to why this is even mentioned*
Nyc78 wrote:
People like yourself continue to amaze me with what you believe to be his accomplishments or what you believe warrants your allegiance and precious vote.
I could fill several pages here about his accomplishments and why he warrants my allegiance. Not sure how you end up judging all of that when you haven't read all of that??? I gave you one example of change, as asked. I'm not sure I care to offer more when your grasp of reality is looking iffy and your manners are AWOL. It was an upset of sizable magnitude, like it or not. Diminishing it only makes you look disconnected from reality. Sorry, but that is the very stuff that reveals an agenda... that distorts thinking. If you are so open minded about the candidates, why claim it wasn't a big win when every other pundit on the planet already has? Penalty flag for failure to make sense. LOL
Nyc78 wrote:
The mindset of people like yourself who are now blindly following this "cult of personality" is that you can use a few political catch phrases about "change" and "hope" without backing it up with anything substantial....it's getting tiresome to listen to you all.
Then by all means don't listen. But you did ask. I gave one example. Now you are insulting me over it but want more. LOL Sheesh. I suppose you taking responsibility for that is asking too much. Sorry but I can't call this open mindedness. I have nothing to prove to you so try a polite method or I'm outta here.
Nyc78 wrote:
I ask a question about said accomplishments and you come up with his "winning of a primary" as a response??!!!
Yep.
Nyc78 wrote:
So he can win the primary and he most likely can win the General Election...you're in essence saying that all you need is a good campaign to be a good presidential candidate?!!
Maybe you ought to hear yourself here. Or let me put this stuff your cooking up another way -- what good is the best candidate in the world if they can't win? It is part of it, like it or not. Funny how reality keeps biting you in the ass.
Nyc78 wrote:
Please try and "think" for once ( try really hard now but don't hurt yourself) about what is REALLY important...someone who can run a good campaign or someone who can ACTUALLY lead this nation. And when you're done please come back to me with something more then how good his campaign management has been....please....
More insults, now you've done it-- killed my interest. This is where you claim, knowing a perfect stranger as you do, that I ducked out because I just can't answer your tough questions. LOL Trust me, I can. I'm just unwilling to push a closed and condescending mind uphill. That should be your job, frankly.

Do me a favor and please don't vote for Obama if you can't see your lack of openmindedness here -- it would only add to the stupidity out there and there is plenty already.

If you want to continue this, you'll simply have to get some manners on. And I would suggest you look up epistemology (unless, of course, you already know what it is) because that's a big part why I am supporting Obama. Otherwise, peace out.

They may be a venerated political family but I hardly consider them to be an active powerful machine. Had Bobby lived, had John Jr. or Caroline been interested in holding office, maybe. Not now. Evidence that the extended clan was split in their endorsements of Obama and Hillary. All I will give you on this is Obama's Kennedys outranked Hillary's.

More unreality stuff from you. My math adds up to Obama having the "popular vote" when its calculated the four different ways I consider equitable. The one way that gives it to Hillary clearly does not count every vote. Kinda illogical to have her campaign make such a racket over Count Every Vote and then use math that doesn't. She lost too. Could be why. Americans want a President who can add or make sense or both. I can see why too.

Obama doesn't define the middle class, its just the rich, the poor, and the working family (whatever that is?).

I think the people have spoken. But our votes are not even counting. That isn't fair. This is not the democracy we are supposed to have. It isn't what the people want but what the politicians (who are crooked anyway) want.

I say do away with the Super Delegate system because who cares what a bunch of fat politians think. If our votes don't count... then we should all stop voting.

How would the Obama people feel if he won all the popular votes but the Super Delegates chose Hillary.

Either way... it is not the American way. We want to be heard. We want our votes to count.
