Rogue, The Arabs did not discover the concept of zero. They stole it. That stellar achievement belongs to the Indians on the sub-continent. The Maya may have discovered it independently also, but I am not exactly sure on that parcel of information. loose

LAWMAKERS LOSE ELECTION BUT REFUSE TO LEAVE What would happen if an election took place, and the incumbent losers refused to leave office? That’s exactly the situation in Quartzsite, Ariz., where two winning candidates for the positions of mayor and town councilman are not being allowed to be seated. Quartzsite is the town that gained national attention last June when police grabbed a woman who was speaking at a town-council meeting and frogmarched her from the event. The 2012 municipal election took place May 15, but the old town council in Quartzsite has since refused to seat Ed Foster as mayor and Mark Orgeron as councilman. Foster collected 56 percent of the vote to easily defeat opponent Jerry Lukkasson, but officials claim he cannot be seated because of an unpaid debt to the town, and so Jose Lizarraga remains at the helm for now. http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/lawmakers-lose-ele...

Rogue Scholar 05 wrote: And another brink in the wall cracks!!! Oh my: AFL-CIO Pulling Campaign Funds from Obama Re-Elect? Posted on June 13, 2012 by Cowboy Byte Remember what we wrote about Obama’s fracturing coalition this morning? More trouble in paradise: The AFL-CIO has told Washington Whispers it will redeploy funds away from political candidates smack dab in the middle of election season, the latest sign that the largest federation of unions in the country could be becoming increasingly disillusioned with President Obama. The federation says the shift has been in the works for months, and had nothing to do with the president’s failure to show in Wisconsin last week, where labor unions led a failed recall election of Governor Scott Walker.“We wanted to start investing our funds in our own infrastructure and advocacy,” AFL-CIO spokesman Josh Goldstein told Whispers.“There will be less contributions to candidates,” including President Obama. While there were “a lot of different opinions” about whether Obama should have gone to Wisconsin, according to Goldstein,“this is not a slight at the president.” http://cowboybyte.com/8852/oh-my-afl-cio-pull... You worry too much about Obama, Rogue. Start worrying about "Offshore George" instead.

Just Sayin wrote: MEDIA SCORCHED FOR PATHETIC OBAMA COVERAGE Radio giant Rush Limbaugh is scorching the national media for their lack of coverage of problems in America directly tied to Barack Obama and his administration. “The media doesn’t report this stuff and they think as a result nobody knows about it,” Limbaugh said today on his top-rated program “They continue to live in a state of denial, that there is an alternative media that is just as penetrating. They can pretend that by not covering a story, the story doesn’t happen. They can pretend by not covering a story, or not condemning an action, that nobody hears about it.” Limbaugh said President Richard Nixon was hounded out of office 40 years ago “for a second-rate burglary that even to this day nobody can figure out.” “We have got Watergate-type scandals in three different spots in this administration, and what’s the media writing about? Forty-year-old Watergate,” he said. “For crying out loud, we have a regime which ignores federal judges on drilling moratoriums. We have a regime that is running an open money-laundering operation with union dues. We have an administration that is knowingly bankrolling losing industries, crony capitalism out the wazoo. Whatever Nixon did, it pales in comparison.” He also noted the Justice Department declining to prosecute the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia “as was said because we’re not going after black defendants,” the president’s lawsuit against Arizona to stop the state from enforcing laws that protect their citizens, and the Fast and Furious gunrunning operation. More....... http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/media-scorched-for... Great duos of history. Hitler and Mussolini. Franco and Hitler. Franco and Mussolini. Stalin and Hitler (pre-1941) Lenin and Stalin. Maréchal Pétain and Pierre Laval and, the cherry on the cake, WND and Rush Limbaugh.

HOLDER FACES CORRUPTION SCANDAL, TOO At a time when millions of Americans are losing their homes as a result of questionable or fraudulent mortgage banking practices, Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department is being accused of blocking prosecution of a high-visibility real estate deal. Holder, who is under pressure by Congress members investigating the Fast & Furious gun-running scandal to resign, allegedly aims to protect a high-profile international bank client of his former law firm and shield Democratic Party operatives implicated in the scheme. http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/holder-faces-corru...

THE MEDIA’S LITTLE BUBBLE OF IGNORANCE After four consecutive weeks at the top of the best sellers list, the major media in the United States has flat out ignored Ed Klein and his book. They are doing the same to David Limbaugh. The major media in the nation has a history of ignoring conservative authors despite their ability to sell best sellers. Were Ed Klein to write a book alleging George W. Bush were really a hermaphroditic mermaid princess from Atlantis, Brian Williams would have him on for a multi-part interview on NBC. http://www.humanevents.com/2012/06/13/the-med...

loose cannon wrote: Yeah, they should have been at the tippy top, Wojar. Listen, do you know Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois? Maybe you've been there in your travels. Maybe not, but I have. Anyway, this is true, they have an auditorium there where they give lectures and live performaning art performances and stuff like that. They public is warmly invited as a friendly gesture to the surrounding communities. I saw John Aston (Gomez, Adams Family) recite some works by Edgar Alan Poe. Came out solo all dress in black and did The Raven. It was to die for. He did the Tell-Tale Heart too. It was a smashing success. I've seen other stuff there too. Fiddle players and an odd assortment of gigs. One of the real underlying reason the series was set up was to give the mad scientists there a familiar place to stick around so they wouldn't get lost if they went into town. True story, Wojar. loose Wow. You went to a show. Good for you.

But it is fact that about 90% of all "trial" lawyers are Democrats and most judges are taken from the ranks of trial lawyers. Oh, corporate lawyers, like Mitt Romney, tend to be Republicans. I have not seen any specific estimates but it is probably "most". Please note that Mitt Romney has a degree(s) as a Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration from Harvard Law and Business Schools. Republicans in general have more respect for laws. Hey Wojar, I met one of the former directors of Fermilab a number of years ago. He was having a myocardial infarction and we crossed paths in the emergency room where I worked at the time. I knew he was by the name. And when I saw him we had a brief little conversation about cathode ray tubes. He was trying to tell me how they worked. I didn't want to burst his bubble or anything about the flaws in his explanation, because after all, he was in the middle of a mild heart attack. He was sitting up and doing pretty good though. I'll tell him you said Hi the next time I see him. loose

We can believe our own eyes that show us with 100% certainty that obama's bc is a forgery and his selective service card is a forgery or, we can believe the many, many, many, many people who tell us it is real as they hide the original, if there is one, with greater security than fort knox. This is the same old scam you libtards ran in global warming, etc. The entire m.o. of the liberal movement is to get a mass of liars with credentials to buttress the arguments of evil scum, and then hope illiterate masses will fall for it. The only question i have is which category you fit in to.
