Women aren't going to be denied access to birth control, Shug. We aren't going back to the 60's. That shows exactly your level of understanding of Christianity and Conservatism - exactly NONE As Abe Lincoln once said, "Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side" Which would be diametrically opposed to your assertion

No one is trying to control access to BC But Obama is trying to make it a "right" to have third parties pay AND, he is trying to dictate to religions what they must do, even when that violates core religious tenets Who does Obama think he is? Henry VIII? It seems so He's trying to erect his own Religion of State

And not have the Vatican shove its theist dictates down their throats. Result: women still have access to contraceptive health care. The Vatican won't pay for it. Wink... nod... You don't like it: move to a theocracy, you know, like Iran or Israel.

He did say he was the son of God. But he also said we are all Gods children. All of us Gods sons and daughters. He never made claims of being a God It was the early Catholic Church that elevated him to a deity in order to sell they religion to the pagans. you are a nut. Again with lies. You lie every single time you post.

swampmudd wrote: <quoted text>"I am" was a term used by the Jews for God.(I am that I am, you may call me I am) "To be one with" means you totally believe in. To one with the President does not means you are the President. While we are at it the term "forty days and forty nights" was a slang expression meaning for a long but unknown amount of time. Moses was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights. Noah drifted for forty days and forty nights. Jesus fasted for forty day and forty nights. It would be like today saying he was gone for a coons age. It does not mean he was gone for the average life span of a coon. Forty days and forty night was not meant to be an exact number of days and night. The Pharisees attacked Jesus because he questioned their authority. The Pharisees had set themselves up to be the sole interpreters of Gods law and therefore above the masses. They had become corrupted with their power and Jesus often showed contempt for them. Jesus was preaching equality (we are all equal in the eyes of the lord) which was a threat to their authority. Most of the charges they brought against Jesus were pure spin of the type that Fox News engages in today. Simply reading the Bible is not enough. You must also understand the politics and customs of the time to have a clearer understand of what Jesus was preaching. I change my mind about you. You are a fool.

You won't believe this but some women have babiesfor welfare payments, and some procreate the world bearing children they want. These women are not street walkers. They are married, and everything. I believe women should use birth control if they choose, but I also want them to pay for it themselves. Democrats lay awake nights trying to think of some more freebies they can use to buy votes with. That is just insane.

Irrelevant The Obama/Sebelius decision was over who pays for entertainment barefoot2626 wrote: PS: 98 percent of adult American women have used BC at some point but they still manage to give birth... usually, when they choose to DISINFORMATION!!! That 98% claim was from a Guttmacher Institute study, and completely misrepresents the findings. Problems with this claim: 1) The Guttmacher Institute is closely affiliated with Planned Parenthood, and is, therefore, inherently biased 2) The study was only of Catholic women with family incomes UNDER $75,000 3) The study was limited to currently sexually active women 4) The study asked if Catholic women HAD EVER used BC, not if they currently use it 5) The study does not determine whether Catholic women want government intrusion in personal decisions and/or religious teachings 6) The study makes no claim that government should force third parties to pay for BC Want to see the study? http://www.guttmacher.org/pubs/Religion-and-C... So, you see, your claim that 98% of Catholic women use BC? Totally bogus (and irrelevant)
