Sen. Edward Kennedy

I'm feeling very conflicted: I feel as though Edward Marion has led too privileged a life after 20 July 1969 to feel sorry for him, however a malignant glioma is nothing to laugh at. Especially since I always disagreed with him on policy and substance going back to his attempt to usurp Jimmy Carter.

All I think I must do right now is pray for him and his family. Not because I like him, I don't, but because as a fellow Catholic I must. Peace be with the Kennedy family.

It looks like Ted Kennedy's swimmers ear developed into a brain tumor.

Sweet. Mary Jo still has a grip on him, dragging him to his death and the hell he deserves.

How much better can it get?????

I can't find much sympathy for Ted Kennedy, after all him and his family have done to screw up America.

Iam a Conservative,a Barry Goldwater Conservative,the Senator and I kinda grew up together.Same age,he very rich,I just an average guy who knew the great depression,and all its wars.I disagreed with him on almost anything he proposed or did.Never lost respect for him tho.

The only Kennedy that ever contributed anything at all to this country was killed serving his country in WWII. Patriarch Joe was a criminal and bootlegger, JFK an adulterous, incompetent fraud, and RFK a left-wing coattail-riding elitist. Teddy is a blowhard, hypocrite, and coward, who should have spent the last 30+ years in prison for negligent homicide. Who is more hateful; people who want to preserve law, their heritage, their communities, and their way of life (which gave the entire world 95%+ of it's higher technology, medicines and structure), or people who wish to impose upon you by force of arms the invasion of your country and neighborhoods by indignant, violent, worthless criminals, the acceptance of sexual perversion without a word of protest? At the same time these same people want you to be responsible for the reproduction of hordes of criminals while making you pay for it through immorally high taxation. This essentially makes the productive worker pay for those whom will not work, and who produce most of the social ills in this country, while putting off having children of their own who will actually add to the world instead of merely taking from it. So who is evil again?

Liberals are warped, selfish, and arrogant people who believe they have the moral high ground when they force others to pay for their imbecilic beliefs & programs to reform the world into the unnatural image of how they think things should be. Liberals are little hypocritical tyrants clad in birkenstocks & Che Guevara t-shirts.

So while his death to you may be tragic and your bleeding heart mourns for his family, if a poll were taken today, the majority of America would be happy he will soon be gone. He is a pig. I think Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney are the two most repulsive politicians in my lifetime, they have done more damage to this country than I thought possible. I tend to be conservative and can't believe the vitriol I am reading against the Kennedys. Everyone respected Ted Kennedy, whether from the left or the right. Watch the news and see what an outpouring of respect there is for Ted. All of you criticizing him ought to take a look at your own lives and your own shortcomings that have never been in the public eye. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Shame on you.

I'm not the biggest Ted Kennedy fan in that some of his positions are too far left for me. But I applaud him on his unbreakable defense of our constitutional rights and civil liberties.
Normally I'm not big on the bait and switch rules of engagement employed by so many on these threads, but I find it sad indeed that there are those who would reduce a man's lifelong service to his country by exploiting rumor.
For what it's worth, George Bush has had more DUI's and drug and alcohol charges than Ted Kennedy. And I doubt that any of these nay-sayers are aware of his actual track record, unless as told by the likes of Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter.
But like him or hate him..to ridicule a man on his death bed for standing up for the Americans who voted him into office and doing what he swore to them he would do, is pathetic.

Funny how it works. God provides the nation a great leader like Senator Kennedy, and he serves faithfully for many years.

Then, He provides another great leader like Barack Obama who does His work in another season.

The haters snarl at the great leaders, but the Lord is with them, and all the haters cannot stand against Him.
