Did you know...
2007 Consumer Bankruptcy Statistics
Comparison with U.S./ Per Capita Rates
(Note: N.W.T., Yukon & Nunavut are omitted.)
The latest U.S. bankruptcy statistics for the year ended December 31, 2006 reports 598,000 (Note: 1) consumer filings. The U.S. population, projected to December 31, 2004, by the U.S. Bureau of the Census, is 297,000,000. This is a rate of 2.1 filings/thousand.
The latest Canadian bankruptcy statistics for the year ended December 31, 2007 reports consumer insolvency (bankruptcy and consumer proposals) filings of 99,282. Statistics Canada reports the Canadian population, projected to July 1, 2007 to be 32,976,000. This is a rate of 3.0 filings/thousand. Alberta has the lowest rate in Canada with 1.7 insolvencies per thousand.

Thanks for playing along...when all is said and done, I could give a darn whether I am broke because of medical reasons or something else...how about you?
I wasn't engaging in pissing contest over which nation has the most insolvencies per thousand, and yes as a citizen of a country with UHC, I WOULD be especially angry if my insolvency was due to a medical condition.

Vietnam may have been America's war but Canada was heavily involved — for and against. Canada harboured American draft dodgers and helped supervise ceasefires. But at the same time, about 30,000 Canadians volunteered to fight in southeast Asia. And there was Canada's involvement in secret missions, weapons testing and arms production. What I knew of Palin at the time of the announcement was that she is bright, attractive, energetic and fearless.
We still don't know a great deal, but I would question the judgment of a woman who has four beautiful kids and still at the age of 43 would even contemplate having another.
Its not at all uncommon for a pregnancy at her age, often results in a child with Down's Syndrome, quite the opposite.
Hell, even having 5 kids these days is questionable.
Looks like Mac is shooting craps again, and it remains to be seen if it will come up 7's or snake eyes.

This talk raises a nasty question: would it have been a good idea to put a bullet in the brain of Adolph Hitler in, say, 1930, before he rose to power?

It is wrong to change political destiny with force, that is, high-speed rifle rounds?

What is force? What is violence? Is violence the exercise of power? Did Oswald exercise power over the US presidency with a Mannlicher-Carcano bolt-action rifle?

Do guns really work in politics?

Can a little 180 grain piece of copper-clad lead, a little tiny piece of metal, flying at high velocity, change the course of political history?

Physics rears its ugly head in the domain of politics?

Say it ain't so!

Say goodbye to the NIST report on biuilding seven folks. This is what they had to say about their computer-generated visualisation of the external view of WTC7 during the collapse:-

"the global collapse analyses matched the observed behavior reasonably well."

Did you see that final shot on Kennedy's brain? Did you see his wife try to pick up the piece of his skull off the back of that limousine? Ever seen the Zapruder film?

That President's brain was blown to red mist so cleanly. I have seen the film. I bet you don't believe that an American president's brain was blown to red mist on November 22, 1963, on a cool, sunny day in Dallas, Texas.

I have the Zapruder film, and I can prove that indeed a tiny piece of metal changed the course of history on that sunny day in Dallas.

Of course, it will never happen again. Just how much change do I get if I leave my tooth under my pillow, that is, how much is the Tooth Fairy paying currently?

bill, they had to blow up No. 7 because too many secrets were inside, and they couldn't take a chance on a fireman stumbling over any smoking guns.

Recall how no firemen were in No. 7 when it fell. How come? Does not the fire dept. in NYC fight fires? If NIST is right, and it was fire-related, then where were those 'heroes' of the New York city fire department when No. 7 was burning red-hot and about to fall?

No. 7 is a big problem for the fascists who run the world.

It's a shame Kennedy was killed. He had a lot of promise. Who knows how he might have turned out if he had lived long enough. At the time of this speech he had great things to say. This is how the world used to think of America.
