AIG Executives Treat Themselves Again After $85 Billion Bailout

After the federal government approved the third greatest robbery of taxpayers in American history, AIG executives treated themselves to a $440,000 get-a-way at the prestigious St. Regis Resort in Monarch Beach, California. All this while thousands of families continue to lose their homes and unemployment has creeped slightly above 6 percent. USA Today reported the following: Let me describe some of the -- the charges that -- that the shareholders who are now U.S. taxpayers had to pay. Check this out. AIG spent $200,000 for hotel rooms, and almost $150,000 for catered banquets. AIG spent -- listen to this one -- $23,000 at the hotel spa and another $1,400 at the salon. They were getting their manicures, their facials, their pedicures and their massages while the American people were -- were footing the bill. And they spent another $10,000 for -- I don't know what this is -- leisure dining. Source: http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2008/10/aig-execs-went.html

Why arn't these gangsters doing time on Pelican Island and being forced to give up all the $$$$ they stole from us? Is it because they did not use a gun? How many politions got kickbacks from their wrong dealings. I do not trust anyone in politics. They are all out to feather their own nests at the expense of the masses. These crooks SUCK!!!
There are those of us that were planning to retire soon, in our sixties, and now our 401k's are wiped out!!! What are our options? Maybe congerss should pass a law that nobody pays ANY taxes until the economy is restored because of the brazen thievery that has taken place.
All you politicians and other white collar criminals responsible for this can BURN IN HELL!

They slapped them on the hand and oh my, spoke hard words to them, then doublechecked their own reservations at the spa on taxpayer bill.

Can we get playground justice? An old fashioned beatdown AT LEAST?! I feel no love for our government or big business at all.

This is no surprise to me. These AIG execs have been the worst of the worst for a long time. Stepping on the backs of others to get their golden ticket. What I don't understand is how anyone would ever work for the likes of an AIG. They offered me a job several years ago. I turned them down cold. There are limits to be set, and individuals need to think about the bigger picture of whom they associate and work for these days. But these AIG guys know that they are untouchable in today's society - how sad...

Gotta just love those Dems and Repubs, when they get together on stuff, taxpayer pay and pay and pay.

They really hold all the cards and aren't afraid to fast-deal with taxpayer funds.

And the majority still like them and "trust" them!

Hey, we don't know all the facts.

Maybe all the Motel 6 and Holiday Inn hotels in that area were booked that day.

Plus, the stress of having to work with such a huge amount of taxpayer money may have given them a nervous breakdown and they needed to get massages and manicures as a form of therapy.

Well, a lot of neegards* got a house, they can't evict them all. Now, what to do with all their easy kids who will want a house too?
No problem, said the Democrats. We do away with regulations and give them a loan. After a token down payment, they're off to have at least another half dozen kids and eventually, they'll rule the world!

How true. Remember how we used to able to have one party or the other act as a watchdog over the other? Now we have both of them acting like horndogs and we foot the bill. Gee, I bet they went out to California to check on that porkbarrel spending we gave Hollywood for movie and televison tax breaks...Yeah, that's it. Since they now work for us, they were doing a little undercover work for us...Kinda like a corporate CIA on a Bondish like mission[bondage is more like it].

We should start claiming the maximum number of dependents we can and pay as little tax as we can, then next year all of us should refuse to file a federal or state income tax return. If everyone would do it, what could they do? They might get the idea that we, the taxpaying public are pretty pissed off at them.

I wonder if it is a sin to regret your own integrity? Like temptation. Just hindsight ifs....

Isn't this behavior direct results of the sins of greed and gluttony?

At least I won't have to spend eternity with these crooks.

I'm someone who'd say the Bush Administration is overall, incompetent. But, this is an even more incompetent statement.

You think W signed the expense report? Or, even knew about it?

EXECUTIVE AMERICA IS NOT REPUBLICAN NOR DEMOCRAT...THEY ARE LOYAL TO THE 'DOLLAR PARTY'.

(which is why they'd love Obama in office, e.g. Barney Frank, Dodd et. al. running committees over business is like taking candy from a baby).

Bush had nothing to do with it. The American Executive model is not about one party or the other.
