sounds about right. If you take that cloak of 'pentagon' off the story, you could be reporting on Pharmeseudic companies propoganda, warning labels, free 'samples' to field test to physicians, commercials and advertising, and used car salesman. Or, the Dept of Agriculture and the FDA.

No person in Goverment wants an US GI to die. Trainer the Clintons were as dishonest as any other. I don't support the war however I will defend the Flag of my Country if need be just I have done in the past. A soldier does not fight and die for the Goverment as anyone that has ever been in combat know. he fights for the guy on the left and right of him and dies for his friends not the Bushs or Clintons in this world. How is President Bush screwed? Do you have anything to support what you are saying or are you just releasing anger?

What do retired officers care? They've already got their pension. I've seen retired military spout off against the war. So they aren't all puppets. Unless the retired nay-war-sayers have been prompted to do so. That's possible. I never pay close attention to any of this babble. But it's possible that woven into the "this war sucks" media coverage is a jingoistic disclaimer. "Having said all that, this is still the greatest country in the world. And we should still defend it against scumball enemies at here and abroad." That's an S/2 shop/CIA tactic.
