Yet if we are going to damn the country, lets have a little perspective. " suzi now on page 95 "better weapons are always more in use. Again, Russian technology out-does the United Snakes. And for your information the AK-47 is the best assault weapon EVER produced" Highlander page 96 post #1953 "It ~was~ yourself who condemned the AK-47, was it not? Me same page two post later "Hold up, I didn't condem the AK, I just ponted out it has a high body count that's all It is a fine durable weapon.." Highlander wrote: <quoted text> Yes: Both in calibre and reliability. . BUT, you ~must~ comprehend that the AR-15 (civilian version of M16) was designed to be lightweight. . The AK-47 is a 7.62x54 round, whereas the M16 uses the NATO 5.56×45mm. A simple comparison reveals that the NATO round is rather 'wimpy.' . For the benefit of the unknowing here, the '7.62' is the diameter of the bullet, and the '54' is the height of the whole cartridge which includes both the casing and the bullet when installed. . See this: . But the comparisons end there: The NATO 5.56×45mm was designed with the thought in mind to wreak massive damage when the bullet struck a human target. . When the NATO bullet hits the bone in a flesh target, it tends to follow the bone, ripping the muscle all along the path, leading to serious debilitation. . The AK round is not unlike the U.S. M1 or M14 rounds: It hits the target and largely passes through, unless it happens to strike a bone. . Remember here: A simple pass-through bullet wound is easier to treat than one which causes serious internal damage. The whole thought there is just this: A wounded, and seriously wounded soldier, is a drain upon his whole unit, because it takes at least two unwounded others to attend him. . Ergo, the whole idea behind the NATO round is to reduce the mobility of a force by way of the drain upon the forces in attending the wounded. I would bet the farm when I was in the military, I put more 7.62 and 5.56 down range than 99% of those on these forums. That said I would rather have an M14 than any "assault rifle"

You actually believe that Cuba's financial situation has nothing to do with the American blockade? Now it's my turn to laugh ........ can't stop! Still laughing Despite the economic embargo by the United States, the cuban economy grew at a rate higher than the rest of Latin America until the collapse of the Soviet Union, which provided Cuba with $4 billion to $6 billion in subsidies annually. Between 1990 and 1993, Cuba's GDP declined by 33 LOL!

His pathetic attempt to criticize all things American is just a juvenile attempt to "fit in". Just like he did in grade school. That answered my question on why lil' Annie Fannie the MukFace is so radical and hateful. Probably got his little rear end paddled on a daily basis as the clown was stirring up the same nonsense with other children. So he moves to Sweden for the drug scene and now stays on a permanent high as this reflects in his ignorant posts! Just another filthy Muslim in the UK I see! Part of the filthy Mussy takeover in Great Britain!! I blame Sweden for allowing you scumbags in their country in the first place!! Now they are paying the consequences for all the Anti-American, Anti-Jewish, anti-Israel hate spew forth in an endless charade of ignorant nonsense!!

I'm really proud of the American Government's innovative and ground breaking work that it has done on behalf of humanity. Projects like MKUltra, Paperclip, Artichoke, Ajax, CoIntelPro.....those all yielded positive results. Those kinds of things and our clandestine activities that promoted democracy in South and Latin America were examples of bold American leadership. Surely the entire world owes America a debt of gratitude. You're welcome!

Jon24 wrote: <quoted text> What do "commies" have to with Iran? Nothing. Annie is living in the past. He hates America because he is a burned out old draft dodger that can never come home. The whole "communist" thing is just another manifestation of his bitterness against a country that didn't accept him. It is kind of like when blacks convert to islam...it is just the most antithetical and antisocial thing they can muster. Just ignore, Annie. He is an old man and he drinks a lot.

big happy waffle wrote: Iranian subs have are so easily picked up on radar that they may as well just float them above sea anyways. Where there is an aircraft carrier there is definitely a U.S. sub nearby. I'll put my chips on the U.S. stealth subs. The Iran subs look like wind up toys. The gulf is a very shallow area of water. People are forgetting that it is also easy for the U.S. to cut off the gulf. Trapping Iran inside it. Any aggression by Iran would be pretty fantastic. I hope they actually do something. It's better than the Super Bowl. Not a few things here: . [1] Surface radar doesn't penetrate the surface of the ocean. . [2] While Diesel subs might be 'ancient' technology, they are indeed far quieter than even the most advanced U.S. nuclear subs. . [3] While the Iranian subs might appear to be 'wind-up toys,' you'd be fooling yourself —in the extreme— to dismiss the capabilities of your supposed enemy. They are smaller and far more manoeuvrable. . [4] Not ~all~ of Iran's south coastal area lies along the Persian Gulf. . Now then, why would you want to invite death and destruction? What have the good people of Iran done to you? . Have they attacked you? No. . Have they attacked our shores, borders, territories, shipping or the people of the United States? No. . So why the unreserved and unmitigated enmity against the people of Iran?

No. The IRANIAN people have stood by and watched their government sponsor terrorist attacks against our citizens and military across the globe including IRAQ. They have attacked both our Naval shipping and civilian shipping in the Persian Gulf, Straits of Hormuz, and North Arabian Sea with Missiles, Mines, and with gunboats. They arm Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al Qaeda affliates around the globe, so by extension they are killing Americans and our friends daily. The Iranian QUDS force is establishing friendships and bases of operations throughout south and central America. The QUDS force is also helping Hezbollah build a training camp on the Venezuelan Island of Margarita. They will eventually launch attacks across our southern border. The Iranian people are not entirely innocent in this. We should take Iran and Syria out now!!
