<quoted text>"The impoverished former industrial town of Benton Harbor has become a flashpoint in the controversy over the new law that allows the governor to appoint Emergency Managers with virtually unlimited authority over local governments.
On Thursday the state-appointed Emergency Manager Joe Harris used the expanded powers granted by the new law to issue an order banning the city commission from taking any action without his written permission.
Benton Harbor City Commissioner Juanita Henry says her constituents are angry and looking for help, but without the power to hold meetings the city commission can’t even provide an official venue for citizens to ask questions and get answers.
I don't live in MI, so I don't know all the ins & outs. It looks like MI has several cities that have gone belly up do the the crumbling of their industrial bases coupled with minority/liberal
politicians operating these local cities for decades. For these people to whine about this set of circumstance, but blame the new Governor & his administration, is equal to the "libs" whining about the nation's economic conditions, but calling for more of the same that has caused the problems.
I think the issue the voters have is there are also, "White majority" towns with same fiscal/financial problems and seemingly bad management, but Snyder is not taking action on any of those towns.

I have to look into it when I have a few hours to spare, but if what you say is true, it sounds a lot like Cleveland and our other neighboring major cities in Ohio.
You know what's funny about all this? The people who supported Hope and Change just a few years ago are the first to complain when change actually takes place. LOL!
You got that right! They are sooo predictable.

I do not believe that for a minute. However, minority run towns normally do not function well, especially financially. For an example, look at Detroit City. Bobby Bare probably might not be able to find a "south bound freight" to hop on & leave Detroit City today.

Not entirely. Our last Mayor of Cleveland thought she could solve their woes by a program called Adopt A Trash Can. Needless to say, it was yet another failed liberal project. LOL.

How DARE he stand in the way of unions running a bolshavik style communist revolution over the state like they did in Michigan. It's ok, communists hold a majority in Ohio anyway, you saw what the dumbmasses voted for regarding issue 2...
.
Maybe Ohio needs to vote in Jenny grandholm. Then we could start to compare modern day pictures of Ohio cities with Hiroshima and nagasaki circa 1945...

Unlike Bush bank bailouts, Auto makers had strings attached to the Loan Agreement. Workers took cuts and made concessions regarding, pay and benefits like Retirement, Health care, holidays, etc.

You completley ignore the Elephant in the room. Snyder has taken away elected officials, thus taking away the MI Residents right to vote. Unconstitutional.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Capricorn

Your feelings are running high under this Lunar Eclipse and it won't take much to make you feel as though you've reached a crisis. This is especially likely if you've been worrying about something, and you now realize that you can't continue to brush it under the carpet for much longer. Those secretly working against you may show their true colors. It's a relief to know that you have take action, but it also feels scary and you may not even know where to begin. Don't be afraid to ask someone you trust and respect for their help.
