Tell me: how much does a loaded 100 round magazine weigh?

Show us all that I am "misinformed".

If a derringer is as deadly as an assault rifle, my dear: why is it our soldiers aren't equipped with two shot derringers?
Because the high capacity magazine ban of 1994 was not renewed in 2004 . Why, because Democrats figured out that they got fired the first time, and didn't want to repeat the same mistake.

It would depend on the 100 round magazine. Is it made of plastic? Is it made of metal? Is the ammo brass cased? Is the ammo Steel cased? Are the bullets 55 grain? Are the bullets 62 grain?
In any case, carrying 12 of them along with full body protective gear, a shotgun, an AR-15, and a handgun is impossible.

A Derringer is as deadly as an assault rifle. I assure you, if I shoot you with a Derringer, you will be just as dead as if I shoot you with an assault rifle.

Buy yourself some MagPul magazines! You will never buy a metal AR mag again! I use them in my DPMS .308 and .223. Never have a problem and they are more rugged than my steel mags.
The Wilson mags are for my .45. My rifle of choice for if/when the feces hits the fan is the M1 or M1A. I know the new M16 family is more refined,I still don't trust it. If your weapon locked up on you(the M16A1 had to be kept operating room clean to properly function)during a firefight and all you had operational is your .45 against AK's...that would sour you toward a weapon system. I know people who have AR 15's and will pass on your recommendation. And yes, the pucker factor kicks into high gear when your weapon locks up on you during such a critical time.

That is not my opinion. You stick to explaining your opinion, I'll tell everyone what mine is.
My opinion is that by banning AR-15s with any size magazine you want, the security provided by the second amendment is compromised and diminished.
Oh boy, let's bring back belt fed ammo!

Does it weigh between three and four pounds?

Why oh why does your run a the mill gun nut pick up the assault weapon instead of the two shot derringer?

Maybe the two shot derringer needs more positive press?

Itís those uneducated on firearms who believe more ammunition is always better. My concealed carry weapon is a small Walther PPK, holds just 6+1 rounds. Iím good with that.
I do own 40 round magazines for my AK. Anything larger than that tends to frequently jam. What a way to take the joy out of an afternoon of plinking.
my father in law has an SKS and bought one of those extended mags for it, it was misfeed city, sometimes it shoots loaded rounds out the receiverhen ejecting empty cases. he went back to original 10 rd mag and has not had a problem. I agree that too many rounds in a mag can give one false sense of security and lead to loss of fire control into the spray and pray mode.Yes there are circumstances where recon by fire is viable tactic, but normally aimed and control fire is the way to go.

Funny how it is I (you say) have no knowledge of guns and yet you cannot refute anything I have said about them- putting aside you don't anything except that I dare suggest that it shouldn't be legal for people to walk down the street carrying assault rifles with 100 round magazines.

911 was the perfect crisis to make perfect opportunity and people to accept passage of the patriot act. Anyone see a coincidence?

More ignorance.

An AR-15 is not an assault rifle.

Can you tell me which model assault rifle you are referring to ?

There's something to be said for having a weapon that will fire the ammo you take off of whatever army tries to take your weapons if the poo poo hits the fan.

My opinion is that you are delusional to think that adding 5 to 10 years onto a death penalty case would have changed this guy's mind about proceeding with his plan.
He isn't going to get the death penalty, he is going to a looney bin.

And is a rather stupid to suggest- as you suggest- that penalties don't deter crime or criminal behavior, it's a matter of making sure they are stiff enough and always enforced.

Someone convicted of domestic violence, for example, should not be allowed to carry a gun.

What will happen- at least in Colorado- will be an examination on these weapons capable of mass murder.

Most people understand the difference between a fifteen round clip and a 100 round magazine.

For example.

Most Americans given a choice, actually, would ban it.
We will see if the NRA can sweep it under the rug.
The NRA gets full credit of the availability of the 100 round magazine.
Really?

You have personally talked with all of America and can say that "most would ban" the 100 round magazine?

Your feet must hurt!

And, I don't remember meeting anyone that has ever asked me that question.

So, either you are a liberal liar that makes stuff up to impress people....
