Before any scientific work is printed in a credible journal or accepted for use in other work it must be peer reviewed to be credible, to date almost 1000 such true scientific works have been produced in support of Global Warming and none that I know of against and if you find one or twenty the scoreboard will still read Me 1000 you 0 unless you can come up with one.
And who are these "reviewers"? People who agree with you, that's who. You libs are always screaming about free speech and how so-called conservatives want to deny you this basic right. Truth of the matter is, we want conversations rooted in pure fact. You, on the other hand, try to push your agenda by cherry picking studies that support your agenda and squash anybody that dare disagree with you. You, nor anyone else, has supplied anything close to pure scientific fact that homo sapien is the cause of global warming. All you supply is "studies" based on vague models. If you want to get into a pissing contest, I can supply all kinds of links from publications such as Scientific American that debunk your "facts". Yeah, we may be the cause of global warming. And Bill Clinton may be a virgin. How do I back that up? Chelsea is Web Hubbell's illegitimate loved child with Hillary. Same logic you use 50-miles-from-Berkley Berkley liberal.

Unhappy childhood? Wife left you? Lazy eye? For some reason you are angry, I am sorry for you. Liberal has nothing to do with climate change and its disasterous results. The science, which I understand, is there and can't be changed with ad hominem attacks or angry words. I suggest if you're not going to be constructive and part of the solution, then find somewhere else to vent your venum and anger. What good does it do to put down others here? Surely it doesn't make you feel better.
Peace.
Nope, coolmind, I had a very happy childhood, in spite of what Jimmy Carter et al told me. See my previous post about how things got a hell of a lot better in the 80's, despite what your ilk led me to believe would happen. Liberal has nothing to do with climate change - that's correct, but the perception that we can control climate change through meaningless treaties, that has everything to do with liberal. I keep throwing out discussion points, and all you can do is hypothesize about my love life. C'mon, little champion, you can do better!

Peace out!

China is seeing the light, with record bad weather and they are planning to cut CO2 emmisions. The educated of the world are catching on and starting to act to soften the effects of climate change. It still won't be enough to avoid expensive and extensive damage and changes to human kind's lifestyle. We've always had the ability to fix our problems but we have never fouled something so big as the world's climate. The data is clear, it's real and current. The scientist studying Greenland are shocked at how fast the ice sheet is melting. Of course the real dangers are the droughts (and associated fires) and more intense storms, like Katrina and the typhoon that just hit China. The sooner we all unite and pull together for future generations, the better. Let's not endanger them by pointless egotistical bickering. What harm is done by conserving fossil fuels? Shouldn't "conservatives" want to conserve?
Peace.

yes fossil fuels [ gasoline in general ] is causing gobal warming...it cost money to drill pump and refine gas..we need to cut production of 3 dollar a gallon gas...the bush family needs to get at least 25 per gallon..to keep there jet in the air..and invest money in more stable countries than.the u.s..shut down all cars that dont belong to super rich..raise gas price to 25 per gallon..we wont need to sell as many gallons and bush can still fly..just make sure people dont start burning coal..because it was why we about went back into the ice age in the 70s..but we solved that by burning natural gas.the only safe to use fuel..

Another liberal mantra - the communist is always right. So, one season of bad weather and the ChiComs see the light. BRILLIANT!

There is no harm in conserving fuel - the $3 price at the pump is making that happen right now. And the oil companies still make 5 cents profit per gallon, while the federal government makes something like 30 cents per gallon "profit". It's ALWAAAAAYS about the oil companies obscene profits - never anything about the obscene taxes the feds make. Here's an economics lesson for you neophytes - a publicly held business's number one goal is to make profits! That's why it's not called a "non-profit" organization. If Exxon can make huge profits off of a nickle-a-gallon, more power to 'em!

Sorry, little champion, but there is no proven scientific evidence that the increase in hurricanes is caused by global warming, in spite of what your god Al Gore says.

By the way, if you really want to know what's behind the price of oil, look no further than Iran and Venezuela. I know, I know, you can't do that because it doesn't involve the evil United States and evil big oil and Howard Dean don't think so.

1) Fact-CO2 traps in heat.
2) Fact- CO2 levels are up, and rising at increasing rates.
3) Fact -Earth's temp is rising at a record rate
4) Fact-EArth's temp increase exactly matches computer predictions calculated from CO2 data.
5) Fact-We do no harm in reducing CO2 emissions
6) Fact-An overwhelming and growing majority of scientists agree we are the cause of warming and climate change.
7) Fact-OIl companies pay to broad cast lies and propaganda.
8) Fact-Even if we stopped CO2 emissions now, the CO2 in the air would continue to trap heat and raise temps, increase severity of storms, etc
9) Fact- The CO2 makes water acidic. The oceans' pH is dropping and causing many marine species to struggle for survival.

Glowbal warming is causing climate change now, and we will suffer more and more due to these negative changes. Why not face facts and the future, and conserve fossil fuels, and use energy forms that have less impact on our life giving environment? It just makes sense.

peanut shortage this year will kill bio diesel...last time fuel went up..ethanol plants were built in tn..timber stripped land planted in corn..then fuel price fell..farmers went broke..today the united states dont have the compacity to grow the corn..to feed the chickens in the u.s. cargill imports more corn every day to feed chickens than total output of american farms..my family was the largest corn grower in indiana..next to rose acres farms..they can store several million tons..and often hold corn..untill market goes up..i can assure you if ethanol plants spring up...your grocery cost will take any savings you get on fuel cost..but of course large farmers can hold corn for years...so look out corn shortage

A point of fact: Ethanol by itself is a step in the right direction BUT Ehtanol from corn is a big scam! It takes nearly as much energy to produce corn as you get from it since it's such an energy intensive crop. And since, farmers use oil based fuels and products you really aren't saving any gas. It's just a big scam by the corn lobby and the oil lobby and does nothing in the way of saving fuel, lessening our dependence on foreign oil or lessening the price at the pump. Now, if they wanted to make Ethanol from hay or even sugercaine... That would be a different story but the hay lobby doesn't have much of a presence in Washington.

If as you say that the oil co. make only 5 cents per gal profit and the fed, govt makes 30 cents per gal profit why is it that the oil co are rollin in dough while the fed's are posting all time high deficits?

I just got from the mail box the Sept issue of Scientific American. The entire issue is devoted to global warming and energy alternatives. The lead story starts with the sentence, "Global warming is a reality."

Being a non-political and highly respected publication, I must wonder at those who continue to be skeptical.
