First of all, Chelsea was an innocent bystander in that scandal. Her answer that it was "none of your business" was right on track. That is a private matter between a husband and wife. Personally, I would have gotten rid of Bill a long time ago if I were married to him, but I'm not Hillary and how she deals with it is her business. However, that episode has nothing to do with how she qualifies to run for office.(and I'm not even voting for Hillary!!)
The question was completely legitimate. If Chelsea doesn't want to field those kinds of questions, then she shouldn't be campaigning for her mother. The question simply probed the impact of the scandal on Hillary's credibility. Chelsea should have pointed out her mother's conviction to her family or something along those lines. Although, I can say that sitting behind a keyboard. None the less, the question was relevant and appropriate in the way it was phrased.

Clinton the draft dodging redneck might have gone down in history as a great president if he could only handle his primitave urges another couple of years. We got Bush BECAUSE of Clinton!!!!

However, the more I see Hillary, I can almost understand why he had to look elsewhere. The only reason why their sham of a marriage continues is for political reasons.

I'm convinced that the only reason for Chelsea Clinton's existence is the political gamesmanship of her mother.

Are you willing to go make public statements regarding the oral sex history of your mother and father, Tyresiah?

Remember, Chelsea is used as a 'human shield' to deflect uncomfortable questions. Never mind that she is a highly paid adult now and has voluntarily entered the political fray.

I would prefer the question would be phrased something like this:'Your mother hasn't been very successful in limiting your father's sexcapades. Why do you think she can deal with world crises?'

The question didn't address the oral sex history of Chelsea's mother and father. The question asked if the affair negatively affected Hillary's credibility. If you don't want to answer those questions, you shouldn't be campaigning.

Didn't see a question about the oral sex history of either Clinton. The question, as you failed to read, simply asked if the affair negatively affected Hillary's credibility. If Chelsea doesn't want to answer those kinds of questions, she shouldn't be campaigning.

I am not voting for HILLARY either but I disagree here...I think she should have answered the question. I'm sorry but didn't anyone ever think that question would one day be posed to her? In Hillary's book she said it was the worst experience of her life finding out about BILL & MONICA. She said she began gasping for air, screaming & crying.(Ok that I some reason I don't want her answering the PHONE AT 3:00am)
NOW, I think Chelsea should have said this made her mother stronger without giving detail.

well said, the question had nothing to do with sex, it had everything to do with her Mother and her credibilty running for President. She took the easy way out, just like her parents. If she's out there campaigning for her Mom she better be well prepared to answer ALL questions. Anybody that thinks differently is simply a bleeding heart lib.

the question was so NOT relevant or appropriate.
you had some wiseass kid asking the question of infidelity to the "innocent child" of those involved.
the wiseass kid would never have guts to ask that question to hillary himself.
if people want to ask questions to the candidate, any candidate, keep it about politics and NOT peoples personal lives.
chelsea did and said the right thing, good for her.

Right, Talk. In addition, opposition candidates plant their ringers at politcal Q & A's regularly. It's "campaign managing 101" and old as dirt. Sure enough these folks ask embarrassing questions of whomever.

Next week a Hillary plant will ask Obama if he ever smoked pot with Rezko or why Rev. Wright thinks Bush ordered the 9/11 attack.

Why is she on the campaign trail, she can only hurt her mother's chances. In Iowa she turned down a nine year old girl's request for an interview for her school paper. Surprising that someone from a political family is so ill equipped to politely answer a question without really answering it as most politicians are adept at doing.

Good answer, blunt, too the point, and you darn well it was genuine. Absolutely no spin to it, I loved it.
