Has Bush accomplished *anything* in 8 years ?

He will have to fire the guy in charge of the Afghanistan occupation, and put in someone more 'loyal'. That's his answer to everything, that and tax cuts for the richest 0.1%.

Bush's Post-it note on his bicycle:

"Cut taxes, borrow more from China, spend more on military stuff.
Repeat.
Oh, and talk to Bandar about gas prices at the next BBQ."

MODIFIED COPY FROM THE THREAD THEY PULLED. Big mouth obama has promised to pull U.S. forces out of Iraq and concentrate on bin Laden and Afghanistan. He will have his hands full. Bin Laden is daring obama to a full time war. Bin Laden finally realized that he could not defeat George Bush in Iraq and al Qaeda has pulled out in defeat. The battleground now is Afgahanistan and obama has bitten off more than he can chew. With no military experience and no stomach for war and his own supporters being anti war, obama will have a screaming liberal revolt on his hands. The conservatives will say "We told you so" and obama will falter his first year in office. obama will be the biggest failure since jimmy carter. What's obama's story going to be when he has to face reality? North Korea will be the next country to challenge obama and Iran will be right behind. The liberals will demand that obama stop the genocide in Darfur and the conservatives will say no way. Say good bye to obama's social programs and his domestic policy. He'll be too busy with world affairs that will crumble around him as the have nots demand a handout.
obama will be the puppet of Pelosi and Reid. They know 50 times more about government than obama does. They will demand that he sign their legislation in the interest of party unity. obama will be as weak as jimmy carter who bent over for the Democratic Congress for four years and ruined the entire country in the process. It took years to recover from carter and company. People today don't know what economic collapse really is. These are the good times compared to carter's fiasco. carter will likely become an obama advisor.

America had the strongest economy and the highest stock market in history until the Democrats got elected to a majority in Congress in 2006. Gas was $2 a gallon until the Democrats started running the show.
Now the Democrats are promising a concentration of military effort in Afghanistan and considering sending troops to Darfur.

Your just afraid that George might say "screw the royal family " and take the oil that you have. Now before you tell me how brave and competent your military is and how they will save the day, let me remind you that I spent three years with your military, twelve hours from the start it would be over. The royals would have fled with their money and people like you would be holding the bag, so keep your tent handy. After seeing your one family rule, you can never talk about how America is governed.

Thank you for your kind words my friend!

It is a herculean task to go up against the lamestream corporate media, the corporate Republicans like Bush and the corporate Democrats like Hillary.

But somebody has to do it! LOL!

Keep fighting the good fight!

Carter inherited high inflation and unemployment from Ford.

The oil embargo of 1979 further impacted the U.S. economy.

Keep making stuff up, Jumbo.

The Democrats did not take office until January, 2007.

And you attempt to pin the results of six years of GOP control of the government and its economic policies to us.

Get real. By the time our party came in, the damage was done.

Alliances are fluid by nature... HMM interesting.

Lets just imagine that Russia by now sees USA like a threat and why shouldn't they? You are building rocket launching sights on their doorsteps. You have more than 700 military bases all around the world (this is only outside US), you are supporting anybody that opposes the Russian government and through Iraq, Saudi Arabia etc. you are their main competitors for supplying the oil to Europe and China.

They probably see you like you saw Communism all those years ago. A threat.

So how would you feel, if they went to Afghanistan or even Iraq and they trained, armed and financed every man who wanted to fight you. This is just what US did back than in Afghanistan. And they certainly ow you a favor like this. Many young Russian men died in Afghanistan than and you were the one made it all possible.

This guy is so funny. The blame all goes to the Democrats. 6 full years of Republican control, a little over one year with Democrats having a slight majority and so now it is all the Dems fault. And why so angry about finally going into Afghanistan. We started our "War on Terrorism" there but never finished the job -- we got distracted by Iraq. Now that Afghanistan is heating up it is the Dems fault? Read some history once in a while. Afghanistan has a fighting season, usually calm in the fall and winter as the weather is pretty bad. Spring and summer is the fighting season. That is a predictable as sunrises and sunsets. Democrats have nothing to do with it unless you are faulting them for trying to accomplish something there that Bush failed to do in the first place. In any case, Dem or Repub, Afghanistan can't be "won" by anybody. They never have and never will. The best you can hope for is some kind of stability for the short term.

With all due respect to the Russian men who died in Afghanistan, are you forgetting all the young American men who died in Vietnam due to Soviet arms? Our presidential candidate, John McCain was SHOT DOWN by a Soviet made SAM missile. Ain't payback a bit*h?

Who cares! This is not about Russia or how the Taliban came to power. This is about getting OSAMA BIN LADEN. Let's not forget that over 4000 US civilians died on 911. This about my brothers in arms who fought bravely and just paid the ultimate price. Those were brave soldiers and for those that have never experience combat, things are different when bullets fly by your head and watching your fellow soldiers die. Things change in combat. This is about the brave soldiers who paid a price to GET THAT MURDERER OSAMA.

Oh wait Im sure all these people are too chickensh!t to go so they'll just stay here and figure out a way they can blame obama and pelosi for this mess in afghanistan.
Your buddy Obama is on record as saying he wants to send more troops to Afghanistan, so don't conveniently forget to "blame" him, too.

The democrats won the majority in the November elections of 2006 and took power is January. The economy has gone downhill ever since. Congress is responsible for the economy since they pass all legislation and authorize all spending. The Democrats have deliberately sent the economy into a tailspin knowing they could count on fools like the news media and you to blame someone else entirely. 2006 had the highest stock market in history and a strong economy. Of course, it wasn't news to the liberal media when things were good. Gas was $2 a gallon when the new Congress took over.

You sound exactly like the northern Democrats during the Civil War. The same Democrats who demanded that Lincoln negotiate and put an end to an "unwinnable war".

The original inflation was deliberately caused by Lyndon Johnson to force the American workers into higher tax brackets and get more money for Johnson's social programs. It took a long time to bring it under control and jimmy carter made it far worse. Carter created recession on top of inflation, created huge unemployment, gutted the U.S. military, engaged in foreign policy fiasco after fiasco. jimmy carter did this with a Democratic Congress that pushed him around like school yard bullies would intimidate a girley boy.

You got me there... Yes, yes Vietnam had many sides involved...

But USSR helped the people with the same communist ideals like them. US helped anybody, no matter what they represented and what they did.

Russians did not do that.
