you can read the signs all you want, But it is still easy to misjusdge those lanes right there and end up on the wrong exit and guess what you are in Mexico. You really dont have that much time to correct yourself in that area. Yes the people that have lived here all their lives might now better, but this was a guy that was not from the area, and taking directions from someone that was from the area.

I've been crossing a lot in the past few months and to tell you the truth, one would have to be a real idiot to miss those signs or to not figure out that you are heading into Mexico. For one thing, there are about five or six signs, some of them pretty big that warn about taking weapons into Mexico. There's even one on the Mexican side on the spot were you can actually make the u-turn and return to El Paso. Those signs are so clear and easy to read that one would have to be retarded to not get them. The other thing, is that from about two hundred yards before you hit the top of the bridge (where, by the way, you can read that HUGE sign that says "Bienvenidos a los Estados Unidos Mexicanos" in both English and Spanish), you can also see the HUGE Mexican flag flying on the huge flag pole that makes it unmistakeable to know that you are heading directly into Mexico. The story that he made a mistake sounds pretty ridiculous when you actually drive by the area that the guy used to go into Mexico. He probably got the red light on the Mexican side (which means that you will get inspected), freaked out, and then that's when he tried to make the U-turn. That's how he got cought. His AR-15 alone probably would have gotten him a good 10 or 12K.

How about if flush 3 times because I've read 3 nauseating essays by 1960's Chicano "icon" Corky Gonzales?

I have been stationed here for 3 years and I hate having to go on 54 because I know that its just a matter of time before I end up in Mexico. It is really easy to end up there no matter how long you've lived here.

No. Do you realize you will always be a "Hispanic" or whatever politically correct term for "Mexican" is in use in the future!

If I don't like it here, then I will do my best to make it to my liking. Your perception of Mexico is somewhat distorted. President Calderón is doing a pretty descent job. You don't turn a whole country around in the space of a year and a half you moron. Americans of all people should know this, or else lend Mexico the magic wand that you've been using in Iraq to turn it into the paradise on Earth that it has become under U.S. occupation.(It must be embarrasing for Americans to know that Sadam Hussein could run a country better than they can and with much less money)
Maybe it's time for Mexicans to return to Mexico and fight, certainly abandoning Mexico for quick money which is exactly what Mexicans are doing, isn't going to help anything.

Stop thinking Mexico is the complete responsibility of Americans. Why should Americans fight for democracy in Iraq, or in Mexico? The responsibility of bettering a country is that of it's own citizens.

Well, the violence is due to the presence of drug cartels who owe everything that they are to the un-checked appetite that Americans have for drugs. That makes Americans greatly responsible for this violence and I do not see anyone in the US trying to address the problem of drug consumption by its citizens who by the way constitute the largest drug market in the world. So each time that you liught up, you dopeheads, you are contributing to this violence.
As for Mexico not getting better, you moron, read a little. The peso used to devalue itself frequently every year, and has been very strong and steady since the last years of the Zedillo administration. Inflation in Mexico last year was lower than in the US. Today more people have access to home loans (3 million during the Fox government), and more Mexicans are financing their automobiles, something that was unheard of in the 90's and before. I could go on and on but I feel that I am dealing with a toilet and there is little use to it.
If you actually believed any of that, then you'd be helping to build the wall. Drug traffickers and other criminal organizations are what benefit from open borders, legitimate trade goes through the international ports.

This is not a war against drugs or drug cartels, the Mexican government would want them cut off from their big money sources if that were true.

If Mexico were improving, then there would be no demands for unlimited illegal immigration. Mexicans would want to live in their own country. They are still abandoning it in very large numbers because the only thing that really matters is American money, Mexico is in fact one of the richest nations in the world but that doesn't stop the big exodus out.

When has a country had so many of it's citizens packing up to leave and ended up successful?

I am Tally's older sister. She is not posting today because of the overwhelming amount of hate filled responses she got yesterday - a lot of them from you.
A biker friend of mine named "Snake" is attending to my sisters security needs for the next few days.

I composed the following song lyrics to lift the spirits of my kid sister. It goes to Shania Twain's That don't impress me much," Tally's all time favorite song.

I've known a few guys who thought they were really smart
But you "Hispanics" have it down to an art
I know you watch me at the swimming pool
I know what you're thinking when I see you guys drool.
ooo, ooo, you think you're special
ooo, ooo, you think you're some thing cool -
Maybe....this was once your homeland
But boys, c'mon that don't impress me much

So you think you'll tame me, have you got the touch
I really have nothing against the Latin style
But how's that gonna help me
When the bills start to pile
That don't impress me much

PS "Snake" can bench press 285 lobs. Ask him what books he reads....

Maybe your sister wouldn't get so many "hate" filled responses if she wouldn't announce herself as a racist Mexican hating white supremacist and admirer of Adolf Hitler.

Please congratulate snake for me. Tell him to keep working out.

Snake is rough around the edges but he's really sweet. Our parents don't like him thought. Lots of people are scared of him because he was in prison. He used to come to our club, he brought flowers for each Dancer. Snake brought Tally bouquets of flowers when she danced here awhile . That's why I know she's fully safe when she's with him...

This is an ongoing issue. I've been reading how they're finding out that large volumes of high caliber rifles, semi-automatics, and handguns are being smuggled into Mexico from the USA. Due to the abundance of readily available firearms here, they're being brought to Mexico in droves. And guess what? This is providing the drug cartels with more firepower than the police themselves have! If we want to have an effect on the power of the the cartels and the massive amounts of drugs being imported, then the border needs to patrolled on BOTH sides.

Gee, let me see? Germany? Ireland? Japan? Italy? All those countries at one time or another had large numbers of their inhabitants emmigrate to other countries including the U.S. Had they been right next door, with a three thousand mile border, their migrations would have been even greater.
