Unlike the DREAM Act, this move doesn't create a path to citizenship because that will require an act of Congress, but removing the threat of deportation from hundreds of thousands of law-abiding residents who came to America as children is still an important step towards achieving the goals of the DREAM Act.

And of course the Xenophobes, Reich-wingers, and red-neck racist crackers have their panties in a wad even though: "The policy will not lead toward citizenship but will remove the threat of deportation and grant the ability to work legally, leaving eligible immigrants able to remain in the United States for extended periods. It tracks closely to a proposal offered by Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida as an alternative to the DREAM Act."

One day, when you or your partner or friends are unable to find employment and are losing your homes, remember, there could have been a job available, except, Obama allowed illegals to have that job at a lower rate of pay.

This is exactly why they need laws like Arizona has. Obama cannot make illegals legal. All he can do is force ICE to not deport them. So states like Arizona can still arrest them, fine them and send them to prison.
