Ridge seems like a good bet. The Republicans have been trying to find jobs for him for years.

Sarah Palin is the VP Nominee.

Hockey mom, pro-life, five children, reformer - against her OWN party, governor...

The perfect foil to Obama and will bring the female vote.

McCain may have finally carried out a master stroke with this one.

He's the same person who left public service because of compensation. Why would he be considered for another high level government position?...

The word is Sarah Palin will be McCain's VP choice. While VP choices rarely make a difference, the Republicans need to be careful as Palin has relatively the same public service experience as Obama...

Palin is younger than Obama, but she has more executive experience and unlike Obama she "walks the talk." Just what this country needs. Straight talk from a real person.

Give credit to McCain for being "man enough" to have a woman as his running mate.

You're absolutely correct. Sarah Palin is a GREAT choice. She thinks outside the box, and is not afraid to go against the conventional wisdom of the Republican party...

As an undecided voter, I am looking forward to the debates. both President and Vice President...

I'm glad Pawlenty was not the choice (if they are correct). While he may be a fine governor, he is unremarkable. I would still prefer Romney based on his prior business experience and being a governor. I like what I hear about Palin. Shoe could be a good choice. Tom Ridge or Joe Lieberman would be an utter disaster. If he picks either of them, Obama may actually have a chance.

I hope so! A reformer, mother of 5, who hunts and is given an incredible approval rating by her constituents. She's right up my alley.

Please don't write McCain and master stroke in the same sentence. It only reminds me of how old he is.

She is younger than Obama. She does not have vast experience, she is only into the second year of her first term as Governor. She is prolife. Mother of five, including an infant with downs syndrome. I do not see her as a role model, who is taking care of her children? Obviously not her. McCain went for a choice hoping to entice Shrillary supporters.
