This costs millions of dollars each year to house them AND to take care of any medical problems they may have. NOT EVERYONE IS HERE LOOKING FOR THE "AMERICAN DREAM!" It is ridiculous the way we just let anybody come into our country. No other country does this! We have to protect our beautiful free country. Have you ever lived in a nice small, area and suddenly people from "the city" start migrating to your area? What happens? Your area turns into the same thing those people left, and now you have to look for another place to go. That is what will happen with all these immigrants coming over illegally. We will end up just like mexico! We are already just like mexico, which reminds me I have to call the cable company and tell them I'm not paying for those foreign tv channels. Wasn't that lame congress gong to pass a bill that made cable companies offer ala carte channels instead of these ridiculous 'packages'?

The Catholic Churches in Mexico City are urging their herds to send able bodied men to the United States to work. They tell parishioners that by going to the United States they can work and better feed their families. And of course telling them to send lots of money back home so those remaining family members can pay the healthy tithing that the Catholic Church so desires. Many young Mexican men are taking the option seriously and coming to the United States, as MS-13 Gang Members who can make big money selling drugs and stealing. By sending coming to the United States to steal and sell drugs they can send lost of money back to their families to keep them in good standing with the Church. The Church of course has a policy of forgiveness and does not ask where the money comes from. Additionally they do not care the cost that this generates in jails, rehabilitation or enforcement for the Average Catholic American.
The Catholic Church is also often assisting the placement of these illegal aliens into legal jobs other than crime in cities where rich American Parishioners are in need of slave type labor for house cleaning and menial tasks. New entire Mexican Immigrant populations are springing up in order to serve the needs of Americans, as they can fill farm, construction and domestic jobs. The United States Government is aware of this, yet there is no oversight as to who is legit and who is not and the Catholic Church is somewhat off limits to prosecution. Many states like Maine, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut which are late comers to the massive influx of Hispanic Illegal Aliens are starting to take notice. The demographic shift is significant and you can see it with merely one visit to a Wal-Mart store and look at the shoppers.
If Mexico gets a large natural disaster like the 1985 Earthquake or a major eruption of their Popocatepetl Volcano, we may see much of Mexico Cities population embark on the short journey to the United States border for jobs and refuge. The number could be as many as 15 million in a very short amount of time. The Popocatepetl Volcano south of Mexico City did erupt ever so slightly again and it serves as a reminder of what lays ahead.
In some New York City areas and many parts of Florida, where Cuban and Puerto Rican communities are historically the demographic, now Mexican Illegal Aliens are moving in and reproducing at a rate of 3:1, which concerns some of the older populations. Previously most Mexican immigrants had arrived and worked in California, Arizona and Texas, but today they occupy almost every state in ever increasing numbers. Although no one knows for sure how many are coming across our borders it appears to be in the range of 1 million per year or more. We need not look further than the Catholic Church for this wonderful gift of labor to our nation, as we in turn help the church with new tithing dollars to grow stronger.

Ms Conserv and indie, I completely agree with you both. It just doesn't seem that enough people in our country care about this major problem. How can they not? Our population is estimated to increase from 297 million to 450 million by 2050 due to illegal immigration. This country is already over-crowded and there is no way that we can keep going on like this. We need to fix this NOW!

We could put ID chips in ilegals bodies for easy identification. Adjust the chip to reflect the criminal history of the illegal and even keep a collective account of fiances on the chip. Design the chip so that every time the illegal violates our border he receives the shock of his life...The longer the illegal stays on this side of the border the worse the shock gets. I think this is most inexpensive method of controlling possible illegals from staying in our country. The chip must be implanted somewhere that is difficult to remove, like for instance, in an organ. I cannot beleive that I am condoning the ID chip being placed into a human body, but it is logical. The chip can provide a GPS location on the illegal anytime we want to see what he is doing or where he is going. It is not a perfect solution, but it is viable.

Hey Lance I respect your candidacy regarding Bush and I revere your tenacity to stick to your voting convictions, but I do not agree with you as far a Bush being a great president. In all honesty, I think I would make a better president than our current one. I may run in a couple of elections provided I can get enough grass roots supporters. I have a 3.5 GPA (higher than Bush') and I speak my mind. I will not steer you in the wrong direction and I will not violate your civil rights. I swear to uphold our US Constitution and Proudly Hail our Bill of Rights. I am for the arming of Americans (undecided if all should have that right)and for ending the grip oil and insurance companies have on current Americans. I support alternate energy and a flat tax accross the nation. I am still undecided when it comes to how to implement it. I am for immingration if they are legal and for better education in our society. I beleive that schools should teach the basics as well as the business end of life. We need to educate our children in the evil and kind ways of the world so they can grow up to be presidents oneday. I beleive that good medical care should be available for all citizens provided at a reasonable cost (but not free). I beleive that a strong offense is key to a great defense. No I do not support wayward war but I do support the military and think it should always be on the cutting edge of technology. I fear that some of my views my not be the mainstream thought, but at least I can think. One of the first endeavors I would tackle is reducing and removing the national deficit. I beleive a debt free government has more flexability and mobility to discover new technology and promote civil rights for all. I also think whatever your religion of choice is, you can follow it so long as it is not forced onto anyone who does not wish it. I am a propenent of self defense and the right to protect your castle from invaders. I have voted for myself in the last four elections because i did not support any of the runners. Sorry for the rambling.

How often do you think the people of other nations have said that about there own leaders in response to demands by the US? Do you consider it acceptable for the US govt to make demands of other countries or is that equally wrong? A recent example is the demand (thankfully resisted) that Australia stop subsidising medicine for low income-earners because that isn't 'free' trade and limits the prices US pharmaceutical companies can charge. In other words, your leadership demanded mine stop providing cheap medicine to the poor. Another example - no country accepting US aid money is allowed to provide sex ed or their aid funding is cut - most have accepted this demand. Have their leaders sold the country out to American demands? Or have are they giving America something in return for America giving it something? That's generally how things work: you want me to give you something, you give me something in return - preferably of equal value. Anything else is theft or extortion yes?

That doesnt mean they are not proud of their heritage. In fact, most of the European immigrants came here under economic hardship. But if you go to the Columbus Day Parade, or the St Patricks Day, or Octoberfest, you will see flags of those countries. I dont feel threatened by that.

Lance Winslow wrote: Problems with e.Coli Bacteria in Restaurants There are problems with health issues in restaurants with e.Coli bacteria which are not easy to discuss. Much of the PC’ness of our society prevents us from open discussions in such topics. One problem we are seeing is as restaurants and establishments which prepare food is that they often opt for the thinnest and least expensive toilet paper and thus employees and patrons use toilet paper which is too small, too thin and perforated so very little is used. This causes fingers to poke thru and extremities to get on hands as they slip off the paper. This problem in itself is not the worst problem, the real problem is coupled with the fact that people are taking less responsibility for their actions and not washing their hands with hot water. In many restaurants immigrant food preparer workers who are without the cultural norm to wash hands after using the rest room with soap and water will inadvertently spread the bacteria. Who's to say it isn't out of spite? It isn't that hard to talk about. If you work in a restaurant and don't have the gumption to wash your hands, then there might be a little more to it than just innocent carelessness. If you think they like you Gringo, then take off through President Fox's other country for a nice leisurely auto tour(say?, maybe a week or so). Let us know how that went. You might find your family trying to dig up more money in an effort to get you back home. It's sad, I know, but this is trudat. Good point on the unsanitary behavior, has anyone else heard of a return of Mumps and T.B. to our land? Wonder where that came from? I haven't heard much about it from the CDC.
