Drill! Most politicians will agree that if cost of fuel makes travel too expensive, the tiny potential to damage the beaches is worth the risk.

Gov. Chawlie Crist, the Suntan in a Suit, as usual, comes down on both sides of any issue that may cause his approval rating to slide. By comparison Chawlie makes Claude Kirk look like the paragon of character and political gravitas.

This will be an interesting year. Most people are feeling the gas pains and many will no longer be able to justify our foreign dependency on oil. There may have to be a compromise between the environmentalists and those wanting to drill.

Why are they opposed of offshore drilling? The beaches maybe beautiful from afar but you will either get murdered or catch a fatal disease if you swim in the water that is pollutioned with human waste that the state has been pumping into it for over 20 years. Who is fooling Who?

How would it be a boom? Who would really get money other than the oil companies, maybe a handful or oil rig jobs. I am not being spiteful/mean, I just want to know what you think. Thx.

Let's remember Massachusetts didn't want WINDMILLS (for energy) off the coastline. Teddy wouldn't have a good view. So the State voted "no" to windmills!

This(high gas prices)is all manufactured to force the outcry of the public and pols then to vote for drilling.

Fine for the WEST Coast of FL don't want it for the East coast. There is enough tar washing up on the beach from the ships that pass.

Let's no forget horizontal drilling, too.

It WILL happen, what a manipulation of the public. Those gas prices better DROP!

Charlie Crist is a ONE TERM GOVERNOR, he better hope for that VP position. But, if Crist does get the VP nod, it won't help the Rep ticket.

How about Leiberman for VP!
