3 The cooperation between the Saudi King Abdullah that support the building of thousands of Islamic terrorist training Madrassas and the US liberal socialistic senators and Reps that control US Congress is amazing. Saudi Arabia king will never forget the ‘gift’ from the 1995 veto on US oil production of Bill Clinton who is still raking month after month millions of dollars from the Saudi Arabian radical Islamic regime and from Dubai sheiks for promoting their oil sales and for preventing US oil production through his wife in the US Congress. The US left wing liberal socialists that rule US Congress are supporting the defeat of US troops to the Islamic terrorists that are financed by King Abdullah. In addition, US corrupt politicians support the self-destruction of US economy with high oil prices for the sake of the election of the socialist-Marxist Hillary Clinton as president. With 100 senators ruled by the anti US troops Senate leader Reid that already called US troops losers in Iraq war, the American people are held hostages to King Abdullah that called the American people “his slaves” as an Islamic terrorist 'joke'. The only question is what national disaster need to happen to US national security and economy to make these 100 un-American US Senators change their pro radical Islamic minds and to free the American people from King Abdulla and his Islamic terrorists and allow US companies to start drilling oil in US abundant resources that are larger than Saudi resources? Why should US troops sacrifice their precious lives and go to protect the oil fields of the radical Islamic regimes in the Middle East? Why should 100 US un-American Senators force our US troops to go to war in the Middle East if not for protecting the Islamic regimes and their Islamic terrorists’ income from oil sales when US can become energy independent within months or few years using its own oil, gas, oil shale, coal, tar and hydrates to produce gasoline at half the price for the next 500 years to come…? |

2 I agree. Cut all foreign aid now, until we can get this situation back under control. I am not falling for the old "it's all because of supply and demand" when the oil companies keep announcing record profits every quarter. The conspiracy theorist in me is thinking it's a plot by foreign governments to try to banckrupt our country. They are doing a pretty good job so far. |

1 No new oil production in the US, no new refineries, no new reactors. Congress is clueless and hopeless, yet they have time for investigating the Pats taping of opponents and time for extended vacations! |

1 $4? It's been above $1.20 a litre, which is almost $5.00 a gallon in Canada. |

2 Saudis have hit peak oil so they can't increase production. The numbers say now, a few years past the point, that 2005-2006 was the all time maximum the world will ever produce in oil. Its called Peak Oil. you should all read about it. There is still plenty of oil in the ground, but its dog S compared to the high quality light sweet crude oil we have enjoyed using up to this point. This "sour crude" is further down in the ground, its harder to get out of the ground and its harder to refine. This whole process takes more energy so the net energy return is less. Because you can extract and refine as much, the amount you can bring to market is less, and the world's total production is less. Oil discovery peaked in the 1960's worldwide and in the 1930's in the US.Any new discoveries are going to be smaller pockets and in the frozen areas or in deepwater. These areas are much more difficult for oil production. All of the 600 drilling rigs are in use at the 85mbpd production level.Whose gonna pay foe new rigs? They are very expensive. The ANWR region is 3 months world oil supply at best. This whole oil depletion scenario presents a problem for the American way of life. The basic reality that will confront us is that for the first time in history economic growth is no longer possible. We are hitting limits imposed by the earth upon which we depend. The sooner you get your head around this the better. But get ready for the kicking and screaming when Americans are going to able to drive around their behemoth SUV's and pickups much longer. |

1 I don't believe the supply/demand theory has anything to do with this either. Actually in March the demand was DOWN, but we kept seeing the cost go up. It's time we played hardball. Why on earth are we funding ANYTHING in the MidEast when they have the oil? Gotta be something in it for those in power in OUR country. |

2 i dont know where you came up with that theory but your way off base right know they dont even have room to store more oil in the middle east they have ran the price up to screw us over this will bite thm in the end your discription of the oil in our own country is way off and as for the price of the rigs most of the ones they drill with over there belong to to our companies i say bring them home where they belong |

1 That's the problem. You DON'T know where he got the info. Too many Americans are clueless about Peak Oil. Do you believe oil is infinite? Last time I looked there were no NEW carboniferous plants being squeezed under billions of tons of pressure. The fact of the matter is, US oil production peaked in 1970, right when it was predicted. Based on that, we are in for serious shortages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil |
