Can't imagine the hell of being a POW. I agree that a person does not have to be a POW to be a great commander in chief. That being said I think it adds a new level of understanding, in a time of war, that Obama will never reach. I would count my blessings and praise allah, if I were a terrorists, when a (prior?) muslim democrat took the reigns of the nation currently kicking at my door. especially when he already agrees to negotiate with me, and then is adament that he will remove the force as soon as possible because the cost is to high. How much did the PEOPLE, TOWERS, PLANES and the loss of our freedom cost us on 9/11. I don't think that being a POW makes McCain the best, I think that his unwillingness to sell the American people and military down the river makes him the best (of the two we get to choose from at this point.)
God bless our troops.

Everything he writes is questionable at best and full of sh*t at worst. Most combat vets I know wish he stops pretending or move.(24) Next!

I'm going to try this again. For some unknown reason (gremlins in the Topix forum?)my post didn't go through.

Anyway, as I was saying...Thank you, Master Sergeant Gardner for writing and standing up to General Wesley Clark and his outrageous comments about Senator and former POW John McCain. And these comments coming from a NATO Commander who was fired by President Clinton, as I recall. Impeccable credentials, yes?

I'll keep chanting my mantra: GET INFORMED! Go to the Library of Congress website, which is thomas.loc.gov/ and check out both McCain and Obama's Senate bill history. Look at Obama's record...there are some interesting ones, good ones, and several disturbing ones. Senate Bill 1389 authorizes the National Science Foundation to establish a Climate Change Education Program...get all the kiddies up on global warming. But you'll be very interested in Senate Bill 2433, known as the Global Poverty Tax. It is estimated that WE THE PEOPLE will supply approximately 845 billion...with a "B"...dollars to the UN to give to the poor. With gas and food prices going through the roof, I'm feeling kinda poor, too.

Repeat after me...Get informed...Get informed...

Please, Being a POW doesn't make a great leader. Bush said in 2000 Primary, "You can't trust this man with nukes". LOL. Even George W. knows better.

The U.S. needs to give more aid to the world. The U.S. fails in camparison to the amount of money the EU gives the world.

We are falling behind democracy, and moving towards fascist. Lol, you wont even allow evolution in schools.......

How bout his economic plan. Trying to say the Obama will tax everyone. When in fact his taxes only affect what 5/10% of the nation. The rich.

So he voted in a climate change education program and wants to feed people who die of starvation. Ya, that Obama guy sounds real bad.........

Why dont you ask an american from arizona how they feel about mccain?

S.327 "A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of sites associated with the life of Cesar Estrada Chavez and the farm labor movement."

What a waste..... He is going to cut down on wasteful spending? LOL

We have another Flip Flop.

I swear this website is owned by conservitives.

Plain and Simple People. Have the past 8 years worked for us working class?

For the McCain camp. Name a few ways the McCains economic plan differs from George W. Bush's.

Obama has a tax credit that will give tax bebefits to gas stations that put in alternative pumps.(Something that should have been done years ago)

McCain wants to build a better battery.

How are you going to fuel this battery when the gas stations have no pump for you.

Flame on fools. Obama isn't a saint.
BUT
He is far better the the other option.

true that, Daniel. If McCain was so great in 2000, why did a drunk drug addict get the nomination?
one thing about McCain that really bothers me, on a different level, is after his family was so trashed in the 2000 primary, he kissed and made up with the ones who trashed them. Be a man! I don't care who it is, or why they do it, but if someone spreads lies and rumors about my FAMILY, there is no going back, they're over.

Exactly my point. He has no backbone. Bush called his wife a whore.(I would totally do her) If it were me I would be punching that @ss. Not hugging him.

I used to be conservitive. But the republican party is over and many of us know it. So until something better comes along we are stuck with 1 of the lesser evils......

All Clark said was, "Being a POW isn't the qualification for being president."

Why are you not more mad about what Bush called McCains wife, also said, "McCain can't be trusted with nukes."

But let the republican spin machine spin around. It's all they can do since facts work against them.
