Well, you can become offensive to your friends just as Bush and Rice become offensive to our nation's friends, but it won't get tit for tat.

Maintaining critical perception of the news is wise, else we get locked into senile thinking.

Supporting Bush policy in Iraq doesn't insist that I support Bush pushing an agenda set by Clinton.

Ah yes, only US media manipulates the news. I'm glad you buy into that propaganda as it discredits you. Russia has of course been a saint and everything they have ever done has been justified as is the case with China and naturally we all should accept that Bush is the great evil that will be around for decades endangering peaceful groups like Al Qaeda and those humanitarian dictators around the world.

<quoted text>Sight correction for U mr. Jimmy. Zbiginew Breszinski was Jimmy Carter's foreign policy advisor. Probably the best we've had in the U.S. except for Mr. Clinton's well informed anti-terrorist specialist Mr. Richard Clarke.
You are right. He was Carter's national security advisor, but he remained in Reagan's administration (in George H. Bush's as well), in a less visible capacity but still active on the russian question. I refered to R5eagan because he was more confrontational with the russkys and that Brzezinski could put his credi in action. He was the best, you are right.

The panzies in Greece are such mighty warriors. We recall how you fared against the Italians and Germans when they were able to just march right on in. Tough talk for an impotent liberal warrior like yourself.

<quoted text>You maybe better go back to logistical facts about warfare my friend. How many U.S. military are available to yes indeed, let's invade Russia too. We're certain NOT to meet any resistance of any kind - We should need OH ABOUT 150,000 U.S. personnel & we'll roll victorius right into the streets of Moscow. sound familiar? Maybe you had best study even the most recent failures of U.S. foreign policy before making BOLD blustery statements. You haven't been paying attention for the past 7 years evidently. By the way, Russia is multiple times bigger in area than Iraq. How are you going to CONTROL that population, just like we did in Iraq?? Get a grip on reality.
3'000'000 german troops could not do it. 3 million ! BArbarossa ...then came winter and you had troops from SIberia coming to beat the shit out of tired german troops. While the germans were retreating, one of the best -and toughest german generals, General Von Guderian (the blietzkrieg guy) was writing to Hitler, begging him to remove him from the fight with the russkys.Begging.Russians are crazy.Let's not get carried away.

Now Russia? Maybe you are the one who needs to go back and get an education. That fake democracy is a farce, especially to the citizens suffering under it. I'd rather we didn't waste our time with Russia. Like all the other troublemakers, they simply seek attention and can only do that through killing. I guess you'd just have us all accept the deaths like 9/11 and all the homocide bombings against unarmed innocents.
"That fake democracy is a farce, especially to the citizens suffering under it."

Suffreing under dictator Putin as opposed to democratic Yeltsin? ;)

In reality the majority of Russians do suport Medvedev&Putin (support does not necesserily mean they love or idolize them), think why - not because russians are inherently undemocratic but because this country needs stability - without good economy you cannot have a proper democracy. Either way, Russia is alot more democratic than it used to be or compared to a lot of other countries including China, Pakistan or even India.

Agreed. I do recall seeing a nice tribute in France to the soldiers that helped liberate them at the entryway to the beach in Nice.

So? Did USA hepled us to liberate ourselves?
I think that those who care about to drink and eat whatever the nations of this planet can give you are THE AMERICANS!
And one question: Why don't you use the oil of Alaska or Texas and you want to steal the oil of Iraq, Caucasus (and perhaps in the future of Iran,
although i belive that you don't have the guts to attack Iran!!)

So then you do agree that my "Russian attack scenario" probably isn't the best of ideas? How much military training have you REALLY had. Certainly NONE in managing outlays & expenditures ($1/2 billion each & every day that we occupy Iraq. Sound like a REALLY good idea for another 100 years? Answers please, not BLUSTER.......

You may have missed my point in that the scenario I proposed for an "attack" of Russia is the same logistical decsions that were made to go into Iraq & we all know how that has turned out. No neither set of decisions would be the right one. Some people want to ignore history, especially in war years because of course the victors write the "proper history" of events. Our Surge proponents believe that a bull headed approach for continuing occupation is the "Right i.e. conservative?" approach. Federal budgetary issues to the tune of $1 trillion spent (each & every continuing resolution to finance Mid East stay of troops added to Fed. deficit) on Iraq already would say "NOT conservative". How much longer are taxpayer's expected to support leadershhip ineptitude?

Unfortunate point to respond to in that lost focus on Afghanistan led to resurgence of Taliban in it's current form. Was a $1 trillion NeoCon idea test really that worthwhile in Iraq? A fraction of that may have taken care of the Osama problem. Now we have just spawned another generation of Al Qaeda apocolytes. Oh well , some times those decisions just aren't the "Slam dunk" that we thought, eh?
