There are a half dozen every year; but they usually do not cause major damage to adjoining buildings, and deaths.

The last was around St. Patrick's day, someone cheaped out and paid a bribe for a bad inspection; which led to a period of 'stern discipline' and oversight.
I guess its back to "business as usual."

This happened in San Francisco back in 1989 2 weeks after the earthquake. They thought it was quake related until they found out the crane operator was smoking tons of weed and didn't bolt the crane down.. or something like that.

First of all, it's not 91st street and 1 Street- it's 91st Street and 1st AVENUE, and yeah- it IS just a coincidence.

Does the paranoia of the average American know NO bounds?

Maybe emergency services should change their phone number from 911 too!

Geez......

No- not putting the blinds down, but I'm not looking for monsters under the bed or bogey men in the closet either.

So what- that you think it's still 9/11? It's not. 9/11 is a DATE, 91st Street and 1st Avenue is an ADDRESS and 911 is the phone number we call in the event of an emergency.

Tell you what? If you ever find yourself with exactly $911 DOLLARS, don't SPEND them- it's too scary!

Send the $911 DOLLARS to me instead!

And uh, just because you ARE paranoid it does NOT mean anyone is out to get you!
