The laughing liberal wrote: <quoted text> You're avoiding reality again on this issue. Obama was the chairman. He could change the wording if he so desired. He did not. He could have pulled out any "riders" he didn't want. He did not. He simply voted against it several times and refused to bring it up for another vote when he controlled the committee. After Obama left, this bill providing medical attention for an innocent baby surviving an abortion passed. It's too bad that you can't give as much attention to the 4,000+ military that have died and the 30,000 injured in Bush's illegal war. McCain voted against increasing veterans benefits. It's OK if they fight for this county, just don't ask the country (including anti-abortionists) to support them when they come home and need extraordinatry medical attention. For shame.

He is a private vendor and not connected to McCain in any way. Besides, Obama keeps reminding us that he's black so the race card has already been played by him.

All the more reason to start immediately. Pelosi doesn't give a crap about the working-class. And I heard some oil exec say there is a lot of infrastructure in place already and we could starting getting oil in 1 1/2 years. Why wait?

Don't believe everything Moveon.org tells you. There was no dissent for the 2004 amendment, and the 2006 amendment passed unanimously. In 2005, the alternative spending increase passed with a healthy 96-to-4 bipartisan stamp of approval. Also, it's worth mentioning that the president does not express an opinion on every amendment offered in the Senate. So it is not accurate to say McCain "took Bush's side" on these votes. The union group also cites a fourth vote, a March 2007 vote by McCain against a war spending supplemental that passed the Senate but was vetoed by the president. The bill did include $1.77 billion in additional funding for veterans' health care benefits. However, McCain voted for an alternative version of the supplemental that was quickly introduced, passed and signed into law. And it actually included slightly more money for veterans' health benefits,$1.79 billion. http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/afl-c...

I wasn't insulting people with Alzheimer's.I don't think we have to avoid the truth about it however, and I know the sign, McCain's in early stages. Then he better have a good VP.

If Paris is elected,it will be the Pink House. Remember when Ray Nagin said New Orleans was a chocolate city? Did that bother you? Anyway, Obama is half-white, so it would be the Half-White House.

That's great. It plays into his status as a lefty religious figure/secular savior of the world, and his Muslim middle name that isn't. Do you mind if I borrow it?

Didn't Congress authorize it?...YES 4000 dead + 35K injured = Awful terrible but they fought for their country and had a choice to volunteer. The babies subjected to Abortion and exterminated had no such choice. In fact, over 800,000 babies are killed every year in this country by Abortion. http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2007/mar/0703... Total abortions from 1973 to 1998 = 38,010,378. http://www.nrlc.org/ABORTION/ABORAMT.HTML

America needs to wake up before it's too late - the large corporations have taken over the politics of America. The evidence is plain to see.
Our middle-class factory workers have been eliminated as large corporations use slave labor in third world countries to produce and import shoddy products and sub-standard food.
They keep us dependent upon oil, they've made us a consumer-service nation. Our mighty factories are stilled, our people without jobs, banks close, housing foreclosures abound.
When will America wake up and realize it is the pawns of these Corporations, of Exxon, of Walmart, of corporate America that have placed us in this position? Bush and McCain top the list of these corporate pawns.
For those of you that listen to Fox News, you will never know the truth. All you will hear are the likes of Shannity and Billo the Clown tell you the cure is for more of the same by electing John McCain.
How much longer will America watch Fox News and nod in agreement as our country keeps sliding down the tubes?
Why don't each of you so mesmerized by Fox News make yourself a promise to watch Keith Olberman just twice each week to fuel your thought process with a different perspective?
Do it just for laughs. A steady dose of nightly right wing Fox News propaganda can make even the sharpest mind believe what isn't true after awhile. Fox News is the voice of the Republican Right.
Wake up America, we are being snookered! We are exchanging American's future for the benefit of a few dozen large corporations...and McCain has made a career of flying around in their corporate jets.
And by the way - it was good to see Colmes bring out the fact that McCain pulled the same thing on his former wife when she was paralyzed in an auto accident that Hannity rightly condemns Edwards for doing -
McCain and Edwards both cheated on and left their wive's in their hour of need. Both lay in hospital beds as their husbands cheated on them and chose other women.
This is a qualification to lead America????
