she didn't apologize for the comment, she explained what she meant by it and how it was misconstrued...not that she's never been proud, but that she's proud of how people are actually taking an interest...
One last time...what racial remark has she made?
Can you show the reference where Fox was called out on the editing of her comments? And no, it doesn't have to be a racial remark. Any remark that is "un"American is "un"acceptable.

You're spinning your wheels a lot but not going anywhere. Look, people are judged by the company they keep. That includes business partners, friends, MENTORS and ADVISORS, and even family. There are plenty of people who have disassociated themselves with others in their family because of severe difficults. Drugs are a good example. If someone's life gets messed up so bad they are beyond help and they refuse to help, it's no uncommon for family members to let them go on their own.

So no, just saying Obama went to church but didn't hear anything doesn't do it. To say his wife has her own mind and that has nothing to do with him doesn't do it. The guy is a wolf in sheep's clothing. But, if you are also a wolf then you would probably see nothing wrong with that.

I can't accuse her of making racist remarks at this time.
But she is closely associated with racists.
You failed to reply to my point that if Hillary belonged to the KKK for 20 years and gave it $20,000 in a single year her racism would be assumed whether the made any racist anti-black statements herself or not.
you are correct with your statement about hillary and the kkk.

the difference is you can't compare a pastor that made some racial remarks to an organization that is known to be violent and murderous.

vietnam a pre-requisite...what the hell are you talking about? he wasn't a draft dodger if that's what you're asking...
ACLU is racist? I could see you saying the ACLU is extremist, but not racist.

And i haven't heard obama make one racial remark...have you?

you and I were brought up differently then...my brother was an alcoholic, and our whole family was right there with him until the end...he died of liver cirrosis...

you may distance yourself a bit, but you don't turn totally away from family.

And BTW, my old pastor, may god rest his soul, was like my family...as a matter of fact, his son was the best man at my wedding and vice-versa.

so while he needs to distance himself from wright, which it seems he has done, I can understand him not denouncing him completely, but rather just his views

I questioned Obama's judgement regarding Dr. Wright's church. If he was going to that church for political and social reasons, I question his commitment to Christianity. His refusal to supply his attendance records prove to me his capacity to be evasive and dishonest. His relationship to the land deal for the lot to his home shows his capacity to sell his elective office for monetary gain.

His wife's comments were un-American.

Same old politics, 99% support of black American,... sounds like old special interest politics to me. Obviously, with 99% black support, the black group is voting race and not the person. Same old racist politics. Reminds me of post Construction era politics

I guess anyone can change their views, for instance when I first came to work in Chicago in the 90's,I loved Mayor Daley now I loathe him. The same with Jesse Jackson, I am living in Wisconsin, he is running for President and the media coverage I am receiving there seems to potray him as wanting to help people and then he calls New York Hymie Town, I am Jewish and have had my run ins with his Rainbow Coalition here in Chicago, I loathe him and his views. The priest from Sabina has taken to the poor, violent areas in Chicago, but now he wants all people to be without guns, so I loathe him also. However I understand that the environment contributes to my views today. During most of my adult years. I lived in Wisconsin and for the last ten years I had lived in Lake Geneva...people are just not as judgemental there as people are here and I was not ither, we all took care of our own, even if we didn't know the person but they knew someone that I knew, I considered them a friend. Where did this value system go to?

Hillary can't even provide her own employees with health insurance and keep the premiums paid, but she has a plan to provide Health Care for the entire country? Yeah, right.

What's wrong with that picture?

Who's kidding who?

She's the ultimate political bs artist. She promised New York State jobs during her Senatorial Campaign; they ended up with a net loss of 36,000 jobs.

She has more war stories than John McCain, Bob Dole and John Murtha combined...

Hillary's Bosnia story, "we came screaming onto the runway, I fought my way to the door, there were wounded on my left, dead on my right. I climbed over several bodies, pulled Chelsea off the plane, working my way through the bloody carnage on the tarmac as bullets whistled and ricchocetted all around us, finally getting to the relative safety of the little girl making the presentation. War is H--L"

Obama's chuch is a Afro-centric church led by a black racist.

That's quite close enough to qualify his as a sympathizer or fellow traveler.

Or maybe a silent partner.

Sorry to hear about your brother. I know how it is since my brother-in-law died of the same problem. He wasn't an out and out alcoholic but he always had a drink in his hand up until they put him in the hospital. We didn't turn our back on him but we didn't condon it and we let him know we didn't like what he was doing.

That's the difference here. Where did Obama ever come out and say "I don't like what you're preaching". Where did he ever make it public that he did not agree with this reverend? He didn't that I know of. Why didn't he? If he would have been the reverend of my church and I was that much against what he was preaching I would have let others know. What good does it do NOT to say something. How would he ever change if people like Obama didn't come out and openly announce that this is wrong? That's where the problem lies. That's why I'm having trouble believeing Obama on this issue.

This headline should say INFLAMES RACISM instead of CONFRONT RACISM.

Obama will divide this country more than Jesse and Al ever could.

Obama did come out and denounce what he said...isn't that the equivalent of saying he was wrong?

As for telling the preacher what he's saying is wrong and why, he doesn't have to do that publicly...we don't know he didn't do that in person...

I have a big problem with what the pastor said...but Obama didn't say it, nor has he said anything remotely close to it.

that's why I don't have a problem with it. I have more of a problem with mccain saying one thing publicly and voting differently, or changing his tune when he decided to run for president!

Yeah, Obama did come out and denounce what the pastor said. BUT IT WAS ABOUT 20 YEARS TOO LATE! Why did it take the news media opening things up before he said anything. He can say that he disagreed with him all along but if he never came out and said anything until it hit the headlines then how do we know?

Would you have done the same thing if you were in his place? I doubt it. I don't think hardly anyone would. If they really disagreed with what was being said by this pastor then they would have openly said so.
So not only is it irresponsible of him to sit back and not say anything for almost 20 years but then for him to turn around and SAY his disagreed with him for all these years is an attempt to exploit those with a low intelligence level among his followers.

The problem is there are a lot of people who were among his followers who are not dense enough to believe it and they are starting to have second thoughts about it.

hey, i don't hear any libs knocking mccain's service... if you look at the other side, after knocking kerry now the reps are riding on mccain's service!

as for your other comments...they don't even justify a response...

If Obama really wanted to "confront racial division in the US," he wouldn't have attended a racist black liberation theology church for 20 years, and considered its racist pastor to be his "mentor and spiritual adviser."
