Analysis: Palin's words carry racial tinge

By claiming that Democrat Barack Obama is "palling around with terrorists" and doesn't see the U.S. like other Americans, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin targeted key goals for a faltering campaign.

Mr Daniel writes what can only be characterized as a sophomoric article, rife as it is with the feeble, hopeful but hollow points of a junior high forensics debater.

Daniel's ludicrous attempt to link Sarah Palin's comments about Obama to racism demonstrates the desperation of the left, the reliance on the cultural IEDs that the left has attempted to plant in this country and which it blows up with great frequency, particularly during political campaigns when real opportunities for position & power are at stake.

But Mr Daniel should be pressed on how he manages to equate the statement "this is a a man who does not see America the way you and I see America" with racism. Hmmm, let's see. McCain & Palin are Republicans. Obama is a Democrat. I suspect that somewhere during this campaign, Barack Obama has agreed with that statement!

What we have here is the case of a journalist injecting his own extreme bias into reporting, for which the AP has become notorious. Certainly readers would be well advised to view any writing by Douglass Daniel after taking in a deep breath of skepticism.

Well said, tramky.

Mr Daniel's article is indeed biased with his own fear of the right possibly getting a lead in this election. Yet it's consistent with mainstream media. God forbid someone say something negative about Obama, and the media in this country runs to protect him.

How 'bout we vet this guy the way we're vetting Palin? How come his background and relationships with questionable folk are not front and center on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, etc?

Because they want him elected and they won't do or say anything that might hurt their chances.

It's nothing but pathetic. And Mr Daniel has now joined them with this latest piece of biased reporting. Shame on him and shame on the AP.

Obama and his wife are the one using race in this campaign, Obama himself has stated " the white mans greed , keeps the brothers in need"....of course that was to a black audience and he did use his 'black dialect' so I guess he was 'just getting in touch with his ghetto side'.

This article is just another example of how the left-wing media is using racism to try to guilty McCain supporters into voting for Obama.

Sorry, buddy, it's not working. I'm NOT voting for Obama and it has nothing to do with his race so get over it!!

Well, everybody knows white men are greedy, just look at Wall Street today - and the joke is on you because you will be paying about $27,000.00 in taxes that will go directly to the pockets of those greedy white men.
Whenever the press reports something that McShame or Sarah da Ho say or do, if it attacks Obama the republicans immediately approved even when they are flat lies. If it is something that they disapprove they immediately attack the Press, "the media", call them "biased",- when in fact all the media does is report what is being said.
Of course this is to be expected because in order to be a republican you have to be a liar, corrupt, and have a totally distorted view of the world - that is why the rest of the world laughs at Bush, and now at Palin, so hard - republicans are the joke of the world and they are in denial about it

Printing a statement that implyies Sarah Palin is a "fluffy bunny" is outrageously sexist and completely undermines the media's attempt to invalidate her.

You're right, we will be paying that much more in taxes, so tell me....

How do you expect that Obama is going to CUT our taxes and fund all these new programs? Your boy is making promises that he won't be able to keep...think about that!!!

I dont quite know which election these idiots are watching but the panic is obviously festering in the Mcsame-Failin camp. I know you clowns are looking at the same polls as the rest of us are, theres no cause for Democrats to be in a state of panic, we're winning, and with Mcsame conceeding in battle ground states we're winning more and more each day.But this is just another example of how ignorant, naive, and in denial these people are.The truth is what it is and thats that we the American people want change.

That is NOT a fact. I am a Republican who is NOT a racist and I know a lot of Black and Hispanic people in my community (friends) that are NOT voting for Obama.

What Party did Abraham Lincoln belong to? What is Abraham's Lincoln's greatest achievement?

...nice try, anyway.

But I see liberal pity for minorities as much more racist than the conservative idea that everyone be given equal treatment and laws. Which party has more laws created to support the theory that minorities are less capable? Which party has created laws that apply to only one race and not the other...which is, by any definition, racist?

"This is not a man (Obama) who sees America like you and I see America," she said. "We see America as a force of good in this world. We see an America of exceptionalism."

Tell it like you see it, Sarah 6-pack.

And Sarah, tell Americans about the exceptional job that my friend George W. Bush (whom I have supported 90% of the time, which means I'm a "MAVERICK") has done of selling the American people a pack of lies in order to get our troops into Iraq for the benefit of American oil companies while our commanders BEG for troops to fight the Taliban and bin Laden in Afghanistan.

And Sarah, also remind Americans about the expectional job my friend George W. Bush did at managing our exceptionally broken economy, our exceptional national deficit and collapsed housing and job markets.

And Sarah, some day they'll take those faces of the liberal communists and terrorists off of Mount Rushmore and they'll put Reagan, Dubya, McCain and Herbert Hoover for all the world to bow down to, America's finest and trueist patriots.

You are right, not all Mexican-Americans will vote for Obama, however, since I do live in a Mexican-American community I'll tell you that there are a LOT of Mexican-Americans who are are RACISTS and, therefore, will vote for McCain. As a leading NM Republican leader said recently, "We came to America as conquistadores, blacks came as slaves".

Never mind that most Mexican-Americans are genetically mostly of Native American ancestry.

Now take a time-out and stay there until you have stopped stomping your feet. I'll fix you a juice box with your sammich later when you have cooled off.

This is sometimes effective for other three year old's with delusional tantrums...perhaps it will work on this child.

Thank you for your post proving that Tina saying that just the whites are racist. How about the blacks that are voting for Obama just because he's black. I wonder if Tina realizes that that is a form racism too.

You are soooo right.

That should be the headline: "Democrat strategist call Palin a fluffy bunny."

But no, they'd rather once again attack Palin and/or McCain with their headlines. What is amazing is that the headline editors are actually doing the refutes for the Democrats. How helpful.

Martin Luther King was a Republican. Democrats like to think they are all inclusive, when quite the opposite is true.

Abe Lincoln was a Republican and we all know what he did...Read your history books.

There was no racism in Palin's remarks; thus, DOUGLASS K. DANIEL loses all credibility as a reporter.
