Secret Service prostitution scandal roils DC

This is all Obamas fault. He sets the tone. Google Michele Obama and Secret Service? Was "Scott" one of the guys in this?

How many prostitues have been at the White House? How many have visited the DC madams? Don't forget all the prior security infractions in this amoral Anything Goes as long as we're ripping off the taxpers White House. Party, party, party and vacation on top of vacation.

Dumbo even has the nerve to say it is part of his job to scout out vacation spots that Michelle might like! Oh No it is not part of your job and you are fired! No more freebies for the freeloaders.

"Anyone visiting the hotel overnight was required to leave identification at the front desk and leave the hotel by 7 a.m. When a woman failed to do so, by this account, it raised questions among hotel staff and police, who investigated."

If this is the procedure that was to be followed, then the guys who sent off their companions PRIOR to 7 AM, should NOT be in any trouble whatsoever.

The ONLY problem is that ONE woman overstayed her welcome.

So, what is the big deal??

Everyone else complied with the 7 a.m. requirement.

While it might not SEEM be a good idea to be drinking the night prior to protecting the President, nothing in the article indicated that these guys were FORBIDDEN from drinking or FORBIDDEN from engaging the company of women.

The only issue was the required 7 a.m. departure time, and only ONE failed to do so.

If Scott, Beth and all the other "favorites" that the Obamas talk about over their dinners are involved in this, have they been put on leave?

This question needs answering immediately. Will this "investigation" just be another waste of taxpayers money and result in another coverup?

Why weren't all these agents fired immediately? Investigation sounds like code word for another Obama lie.

The president has nothing to do with the hiring of secret service agents. A lot of these same guys served under bush and possible Clinton. How is this obama's fault? Right wingers seem desperate and are exploiting this non issue for political purposes. Personally I could care less if a secret service agent get's his knob polished as long as it's not on the taxpayer's dime. It appears that all of the trouble was caused by one idiot who didn't want to pay for services rendered!

Couldn't agree more. Malia and Sasha Obama sat in Rev. Wright's church since they were born. He baptized them. Sasha Obama was taken trick or treating to William Ayers house. These "girls" are nothing but spoiled rotten racists in the making. I think any potential issue involves more than the expectations of the hotel, which you are quoting.

What's most unusual here is that this bacchanal took place _prior_ to the President's arrival, when the focus should have been on preparations.

There was also the issue of a dispute over payment. Absent that the cops never would have been called and it never, probably, would have come to the attention of the Embassy.

Apart from these practical matters, the buzz is really about Republicans pretending to be outraged by the existence of human perversity or paid sex work...unless it involves Ted Haggard or William Bennett rumored to be with a Las Vegas dominatrix on trips or Sen. Oaxaco was very dangerous when I visited there. I probably stayed in the exact hotel in the exact location where these tarts invaded the small city inconveniencing everyone else!
The police and military walked around day and night carrying rifles. Tourists were warned of pickpockets and other much worse crimes.
The weather is not hot enough to be dressed the way these 13 year old girls were. Such dress would be considered totally inappropriate there. Perhaps that is why they had to keep everyone away!
UGLY AMERICANS and all the parents' fault of the whole group. Coming from Barack and Michele, why would we be surprised? One would think the other parents would have better sense. These barely teenage girls had no business going there to begin with but certainly not with those skimpy shorts and tops. They should have been wearing jeans and t-shirts with sleeves or longer shorts, peddle pushers and tops with sleeves. It frequently rains there and can be quite cool.
