Student loans: GOP filibuster blocks Senate move to freeze low rates

Back when the Democrats took over student loans via Obama care -- you know, to 'fix' it-- why did they not make all the loans fixed rate?

Did they honestly believe that interest rates wouldn't change over 10 to 20 years?

If so, their incompetence is demonstrated.

If not, then they knew this issue would come up from time to time and they could play politics with it.

I'm sure that the Democrats would be happy to freeze the student load rate foe a century, it is the GOP who play GAMES. LOOK AT THEIR ATTEMPT TO CANNIBALIZE HEALTH CARE IN RETURN FOR STUDENT LOANS, WHILE LEAVING CORPORATE TAX EVASIONS AND BREAKS and wealthy tax rates, in a golden cage.

Screw YOUR kid. GOP doesn't care how much it costs YOUR kid to go to college. THEY can afford THEIR kids' education so that's all that matters.

The only thing THEY care about is keeping that war going so their investments pay off. YOUR tax dollars ultimately pay THEIR kids' education.

Once again rethugs show their contempt for education and the struggling middle and working classes.
