I spell ILLEGAL in caps because words mean things and
you know what ILLEGAL means...and it isn't "undocumented".
Congress has been negligent for many years and now the ILLEGALS are here DEMANDING:
Demanding their "rights' as if they earned them.
Demanding a place at the table as if they were invited.
Demanding their place in front of the line after cheating.
Demanding they be heard and respected while waving the Mexican flag on USA streets.
Now the Senators must clean up this mess of their own making; Neglect and blindness to the law has caused this.
U.S. citizens have a demand: "Obey, enforce and respect the imigration laws and pass news laws as needed to protect our country." All other arguments are secondary.

There are many concerns with ILLEGALS; chief among them are:
1. Those who do not sacrifice to be citizens rarely develope the loyalty, devotion, national pride, and love (willingness to sacrifice for the good of the country - contribute to its greatness - develope a love and willingness to defend it)- that is required to continue to make this country the great place it is and has always been.
2. Many of those who come here ILLEGALLY do so with a sense of misplaced entitlement and resentment toward this great country.
3. They bring with them deseases - which would have been screened out and innoculated against had they come through authorized channels - causing a burden on our society.
4. They are breaking the medical system and vastly increasing our costs in both medical care, education, law enforcement, etc.
5. By coming accross the border in the thousands they send a message to all would be terrorist that it is beyond easy to cross into our country.
There are ofcourse many other negatives which could be listed here. But I think you get the idea.

1. Why is it when I call my bank the 1st thing you here is in spanish, the last time I checked I was in AMERICA. The sad thing is I almost feel forced to learn how to speak it "SPANISH" that is...
2. I feel its unfair that our TAX money is spent on taking care of them. I work hard to make ends meet but, I'm not in line for a welfare check. They over flow our streets and low income housing and take up space. When it should be for real tax paying AMERICANS. Im ready to send my daughter to private school just so she can be able to be with children her own age that can speak ENGLISH!!!!!
3. THEY ARE RUDE and most of the MEN give me the creeps.
The way they stare at women like they have never seen one.. They dont even try to learn english its like we are asking too much of them. It MAKES ME SICK to see them wave their flag like this is the new MEXI-MERICA once known as the United States. What kind of message are we sending to our Men and Women in our US armed forces, its like they are fighting for a country that is no longer ours. We need to step up our plan and send all of them home and send anyone who helps them away.
4. Im in customer service for an insurance company, But when I got a call in from someone who could clearly not speak english, And that person became angry because I was unable to understand them, and then began to speak with me in a abusive manner, I understood some of it.. After all they are taking over our COUNTRY and I have picked up a few things. But with that being said I have no respect for any of them nor will I pretend to be happy they are here. My grandfather would roll over in his grave if he knew what was going on today. For a country he died for and loved.

Well! here's the thing ladies and gens, I think that you guys don't have anything to think about and it's clear to me that you are over exagerate here. I am not even a foreigner but I do feel for them, you must be ashame of yourself to say those words. Tell me what would you do if the Gov' send all of the illegals home huh? Are you going to take over all of the shitty jobs? are you going to accept low income? are you going to live in tight and dirty spaces? God! I think that you are sooooo ignorance. Last year alone, farmers lost all of their crops (Such as oranges, pears, apples) in the lower regions of the US because nobody who come over and help them harvest anymore. They are all scare, No body would baby sit so that the mother could go to work, Fix Housing for cheap so that the family could save money. I think that you know that then amount that they get from wellfares are only One/tenths of what they constribute to this economy. So sir, if you are not getting wellfares then maybe You're already have goods to eat and a warm place to stay, so please stop complaining and keep doing your jobs to help this country in any ways you can and stop critizing others to make you feel good. and the lady that said they gives me the "creeps". maybe you shouldn't thing so highly of yourself just for once. and see that you are just like the others.
That's all i got to say

When I firs came to this country i worked my hardest to learn the language that's speaked here in the United States of America. It took me 2 years to learn how to speak english and only 1/2 a year to learn how to write. Maybe i did break the law but i did it because i wanted and want a good life with better opportunities and the U.S. is helping me So "I RESPECT THE AMERICAN FLAG BUT IM PROUD OF BEEN BROWN" Now if coming here to be someone in life with better opportunities is a "CRIME" THan what is not a "Crime"?

A decendent of italian immigrant
here is something consistent
Congressman Sam Farr
Posted on 04/23/2006 9:19:58 AM PDT by Technoman
Dear (Technogeek):
Thank you for writing me about immigration. I understand that this is an issue that evokes very strong reactions.
Even before the protests over the last several weeks, the need for comprehensive immigration reform was unmistakable. Over 12 million undocumented immigrants reportedly live in the U.S. Most are here for a better life; they pay taxes and they perform low-paid, unskilled jobs few Americans desire or seek. By forcing these hardworking individuals to remain in the shadows, we risk creating an environment where a minority criminal element can operate unchecked. This situation only threatens our national security and complicates the vital job of those charged with protecting our homeland.
Since his first years in office, President Bush made the implementation of a guestworker program a priority for his Presidency. Unfortunately after 9/11, his immigration reform agenda was pushed to the side. Finally, in the last several months, the Republican Leadership has brought the issue to the forefront of national policy making.
Last December, the House Republican Leadership brought a truly egregious bill to the Floor for a vote. HR 4437 was completely unrealistic in its "enforcement only" proposals. It would make not only anyone in the country illegally a felon, but it also criminalizes humanitarian aid and religious workers as well. It proposed a wall reminiscent of the infamous Berlin Wall along our border with Mexico and did nothing to address the real issue facing the country today - what to do with the 12 million undocumented people that are currently living in this country? I could not support the bill because of its complete disregard of the complex dynamics of our immigration situation.
The Senate Republican Leadership also agreed to address immigration reform this Congress. At the end of March, the Senate Judiciary Committee, under substantial pressure from Presidential - hopeful Majority Leader Bill Frist, reported out a bill that included a guestworker program for the agriculture industry and provided a path to citizenship for the current illegal aliens abiding in the country. As Senators began debating the bill , negotiations regarding how many and which amendments would be offered fell apart. This is an important point because amendments could completely change the character of the underlying bill. Though Senators have publicly committed to continue negotiations, it remains highly unlikely that a bill addressing comprehensive immigration reform will pass in this Congress.
Despite this impasse, the fact remains that 12 million undocumented immigrants continue to reside in the United States and this issue will not go away. I strongly believe that next year, in a year without an election, cooler heads could prevail and comprehensive legislation may be possible.
In the mean time, I will continue to support bills that promote family reunification, asylum and refugee admissions, employment-based immigration, and a path to legalization while striking the balance between American jobs, border safety and national security interests.
Please do not hesitate to contact me as this debate will surely continue.
Sincerely, SAM FARR Member of Congress

People talk to much about things but they never put them selves on the other side and think about how the other side feels. Mexican people came here and started doing the worst jobs in the U.S. I think is fair for them to get a better chance in here. Every body says that they are taking away the jobs but we know that this is a lazy country and if we live no body is going to do them anyways. Just remember that this is the same way you ancestors got to this country as immigrants. Also remember that we don't do this at Mexico. Get in our position we are just tring to make a living.

i think this has been blow to far out of contense,i think mexicans have as much rights here as the next person does they work take care of their family,s have nice things too, cause they will work no matter how hot or cold it is or how dirty the job is that they are asked to do,where these whit people grip and complain about it,they dont live on dhs like a lot of your indians, whites, black people do.so leve theses mexicans alone let them stay and let them keep comming, does any one ever go to mexico to visit dont you get treated right with respecked,we dont have to have a green card for us to go live in their country,

Last year alone Georgia spent approx. 50 MILLION dollars on language translation services to benefit spanish speaking individuals. In addition, these undocumented immigrants are recieving discounted health care (through Medicare) that we, as legal tax payers, have to pay for. In the CNN special called "Immigrant Nation" there was one high school student who was illegal that recieved a scholarship for college. What is troubling about this is that the scholarship is paid in part by our tax dollars. In my opinion, drastic steps need to be taken in order to secure the survival and success of legal born UNITED STATES ctitzens.

If they say that they love our country so much than they need to quite waving their stupid Mexican flag around our streets, because obvesiouly they like it here better, or they can go back. Second they need to learn english because again this is america and not Mexico or any other country because they dont give a shit that we cant speak spanish when we go over there to visit. and if they want citizenship they should be required to fight for our country like citizens here would do. If they dont want to do the way we do things as americans than get the FUCK out.

In some way we are all connected, reguardless of where we come from. Those with a closed mind, and heart, I feel sorry for you. Every human being deserves a chance, as long as they are contributing to society. The money they spend in the USA is part of our economy. Take that away and watch a major change, in the increase of unemployment. The government needs to act faster, what's going on over there? One more thing, just imagine walking in someone eles's shoes, get out of your little box, and be open to different perspectives. You will grow as a person, believe me.
