then he should blame himself for going there in the first place!

On September 7, 2006, Santorum outlined his views on foreign policy in an op-ed piece for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and discussed Islamic fascism, closing with a rally cry:

“I believe we are at war with Islamic fascists and I singled out Iran and Syria as examples of Islamic fascist regimes. Many Muslims say the same thing, and the editors should, too, for it is undeniable.[...] I have said time and time again across Pennsylvania these past weeks that the fight against Islamic fascism is the great test of our generation. Leaders are obliged to articulate this threat and to propose what is necessary to defeat it. That is my purpose, and our national calling. The American people have always rallied to the cause of freedom once they understood what was at stake. I have no doubt that they will again.”

We won, to the degree such a war has a winnable moment. I say this not to support our having invaded Iraq, which we clearly should not have done, but to say we defeated the insurgents and set up Iraq as a functional state. The rest is up to the Iraqis.

Ther are GOPeabaggers running loose saying the president is un-American on one hand but then idiots like Santorum and McCain are speaking publicly about us losing the war and other idiotic statemants. Now how un-American is that?

Both Afghanistan and Iraq should have been simple in and right back out operations we have been bogged down in both far too long.

The problem with Obama is he is NOT fighting a war he is trying to end a war without defeating our enemy first. An enemy that Obama has not only encouraged but has invited to come here and set up camp within our own borders.

The problem with the other Republican candidates just like Obama they are only looking at Afghanistan and Iraq and NOT at the Muslim world as a whole. That was Bush's mistake from the get go. As Bush got us bogged down in a quagmire with no escape.

I have the combat training and actual combat experience to engage our Muslim enemies and DEFEAT them AND within 18 months of taking office.

Once we pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan and the Muslims bring THEIR WAR here to American then you can start talking about losing the war.

Obama is showing the Muslims that we are weak and have surrendered to Islam. That means they will be free to come her and start killing the non believers. You and me. The Muslims have already started demanding that we recognize Sharai Law in our courts. Several American judges have been allowing Sharai Law to be practiced in their courts. There are currently 1 to 2 Islamic compounds in each of the 50 states as hundreds of Muslim terrorist have been entering this country from Mexico illegally.

You may call me a war monger all you wnat only be warned. Once the Muslims start their attacks Obama or who ever takes his place will have the bulk of our forces stationed out side the United States and will NOT be able to protect us.

I am the only candidate to date with the combat training and actual combat experience to engage our Muslim enemies and DEFEAT them within 18 months of taking office.

The choice is yours. You are free to choose to live in fear of your life for the next 30 to 40 years or you can go to my website like millions of Americans have already done and you can stand up and fight our Muslim oppressors BEFORE they have a change to attack us from within our own communities and neighborhoods.

So far 530 people have Join in the fight over the past week. We are going to need a whole lot more than that if we are going to DEFEAT our Muslim Enemies. Remember I am the ONLY candidate with the combat training and actual combat experience to engage our Muslim enemies and DEFEAT them within 18 months of taking office. None of the other candidates have the training and actual experience I have.

Sanatorium is literally nuts, apparently not only a paranoid, radical-Right religious loon and sodomite (Google his name for the joke) but a defeatist and coward as well.

Schieffer should have turned him over his knee and spanked him....but then, he'd probably have ENJOYED that...:)

The usual nutso-cuckoo stuff from you, I see. Obama's "showing the Muslims that we are weak and have surrendered" by what, Jim:

Ramping UP the war in Afghanistan?

Fighting Taliban in Pakistan?

Raiding bin Laden's compound and killing him?

Killing other al-Qai'da leaders?

Fighting al-Qai'da in Yemen?

Aiding the war against Khadafi in Libya?

I mean, what sort of "weakness" do you SERIOUSLY think he's showing there, Jim?

No, Afghanistan is completely winnable, it's just that we refuse to look at the taliban for what they are and treat them and their supporters as such.

Not "winnable" at all without exterminating large segments of the population....and even then, you'd probably see MORE resistance forming from the remaining population and/or relatives in Pakistan, etc.

We need to GET OUT and stop pretending we can remake Afghanistan in our image. Our image is pretty tarnished anyway...

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Cancer

Love could catch you by surprise today. You might be strongly attracted to someone who isn't your usual type at all but who makes your knees go weak all the same, or you could get caught up in an illicit relationship that's exciting because it has to be kept a secret. If you're already involved with someone they'll need plenty of freedom and won't appreciate feeling emotionally tied down. You need to let them off the leash for a short while!
