So where do this leave the responsible tax payer that has waited to buy a home instead of jumping into a the market because the money was easy at the time. It does not take a rocket scientist to know a $45,000 year household income can afford a $600,000 home. I get to pay for their poor decision and they stay in their house and I stay renting, Only in America!!!

What about the responsible people like myself and my fiance that didn't buy a house that we couldn't afford? What about my sister who paid about $80,000 more for her house 2 years ago (during the boom) than it's worth now? She had money to put down on her house, so she's not upside down with her mortgage, but shouldn't she get some sort of restitution? Only the irresponsible people are getting help. What about us, the responsible consumers, that didn't get in over our heads?
