Why on earth would the United States rely on foreign companies to supply Defense needs? Keep the jobs and the money right here. Northrup Grumman is one things, but Airbus is quite another. Also, if the Air Force purchasing system is so flawed, how is it that serious changes aren't made, and incompetent officers or bureaucrats removed? After all, we are talking about $100 billion in public funds. Congratulations to Senator McCain for stopping the original, bloated contract with Boeing. It seems that these large governmental agencies have a very tough time doing things right the first time, and providing the public with efficient cost effective government.
