Dear Northrop Grumman,
When was the last time you built a Tanker aircraft that is modeled after a commercial airliner. You have not, only to partner with the real applicable aerospace company Airbus. Last I checked Airbus is a European Company that is inferior to Boeing. Don't forget Boeing won the contract over 5 years ago. I don't know about you but I prefer the US Airforce to protect America with American products especially when those products are superior to the alternative.
Quit your crying and build more ships,
Thanks

It is awesome that our Government is actually responding to do the right thing for our Nation! The French and Germans who own EADS (European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co.) that partnered with Northrop Grumman (NG), should NOT be rewarded with any U.S. Military contracts since they DID NOT join our US armed forces in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars. Boeing is best suited to economically efficiently build the aerial tanker jets because they have the facilities and the accountability process already in place! Why should our already strained taxes be spent on having the NG/EADS team "re-invent the wheel" to build their own assembly plants in Alabama?!! It wouldn't be logical to idle the Boeing assembly plants, which are currently building aerial tankers for Japan and Australia (both Allies joined us in Iraq and Afghanistan)!! -Bruce Masai Torrance, California

Mr. Brown, What exactly are you trying to say? What is all that other text gibberish in your comment box?

Of course it only make sense. Who better than "civilian" contractors to decide who to buy our Airforces planes. Makes perfect sense to me.
I'm betting Bruce and Ralph both drive Jap cars.

In the end, both Northrop and Boeing will get a piece of the contract. Nothing but PBS. So all those employed by either, quit your whinning.

You only have 2 exclamation points after God and there should be 3, to wit: "GOOD GOD !!!"

Of course they will and a lot of other companies too. What's important though is that hopefully a larger share of the work will be done by U.S. citizens, which is only fair since they are paying for it.

A Prius to be exact, Mr. Kornblum! Because Toyota thinks far ahead... they realized years ago that the oil is a limited resource and ruins our environment! By the way Korny, the people who will decide the Aerial Refueling Tanker Jets outcome are NOT "contractors" but very competent government administrators. Just read the resumes of Under Sec of Def John Young and AF Sec Michael Donley. But since you resort to racial name calling I don't expect you to have the intelligence level to even discuss this further.

Daily Breeze Readers, don't be deceived by the mythical 7,500 new California jobs that Northrop Grumman is PROMISING! NG is falsely trying to gain Californian's sympathy! The real head count will be added to NG's European masters (French and German owners of EADS) in Europe, where the main manufacturing will be! NG is just the front for the Euros to ease into the US Military market... but those ingrate/cowards don't deserve any of our hard earned tax dollars!!!
