A friend used to refer to "door-knobbing". The term originated from someone going to a psychologist, discussing their problem, and then, as his or her hand was on the door to leave, made a comment that would radically change the reality of everything discussed in the previous 50 minutes.

Paragraph six was your doorknob in this story. Up until then, it was a story about students concerned about higher education costs and a vote by a U. S. Senator. Paragraph six finally identifies the "students" as being members of the College Democrats - not just any UNC-A students. Thus, it isn't a story about students being concerned about higher education costs but rather a story about a partisan political move designed to embarrass a member of the opposing party.

John, if this were an honest story, you would have led paragraph two with something like "College Democrats at UNC-A were critical of Burr's vote..."

Yea sure it is... And if it was a democrat candidate doing this there would be a hundred posts saying democrats are just out to ruin college and drive costs up on students. Education costs and loans are crap for students, you come out of college so deep n a hole you have to dig for several years just trying to get out. For once pull your head out of your as$ and see its not about left and right its about driving up costs for students, regardless what party is doing it

"Education costs and loans are crap for students, you come out of college so deep n a hole you have to dig for several years just trying to get out."

And tacking on more interest and fees is going to remedy that? Get real.

Part of the Bush family/friends and Neocon/Skull and Bones plan to destroy the middle class in America and create an "Elitist" society of the "Haves and Havenots". Illegals are just a part of the plan, started back in the 50's, Ike warned of it, escalated by Reagan and "W" is fast pacing the plan, "The New World Order"!
