The Senate will soon vote on an increase, for the fifth time during Bush’s presidency, our federal debt! It will be almost $10 trillion dollars. Communist Red China owns $450 billion of our IOUs, has $1.3 trillion, cash in the bank and is building their first navy in over 500-years.
In another bill it will create a 16-member task force that will make recommendations by Dec. 9, 2008, on how to address soaring budge of programs such as tax policy, military/civilian retirement, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. The bill calls for the recommendations to be introduced as legislation in the 111th Congress, and both chambers would have to consider it soon after that Congress convenes in January 2009. Debate would be limited, and the proposal could not be amended. It would require a three-fifths majority vote in both chambers to pass.

Why are we increasing spending on ALL bills passed this year when we know we do not have the money to support them? This is like telling the family to go out and spend on our credit cards since we will not worry about how to pay them off until January 2009.
