on behalf of our men and women in uniform who will now be denied a critically needed new tanker for years we can Thank Boeing for being babies and only thinking about themselves and not the lives of our men and women in uniform. I hope this prevents them from ever getting a contract again.

Northrop Grumman entered this competition in good faith and proposed the most modern, most capable tanker available, at the best value to the American taxpayer

Yep, it was the lawyers. Why comment if you haven't got a clue as to what is going on. Dork.

A prime example of what happens when spoiled children whine, complain, and throw a hissy fit, they usually get their way. It sure seems to me that there is some blackmail or palm greasing going on in some backroom somewhere. Wouldn't it be nice if every company that lost a bid got to try again if they throw a big enough tantrum? Boeing's track record lately is not the most stellar. Maybe there is a reason for that.

It's not the lawyers, unless you count Congressmen. It's the Unions, who have bought off (along with their partners in crime Boeing) said Congressmen. It used to be that the military, that would be the men and women that we ask to risk their lives for us, got to choose the weapons and systems they believed that they needed. Now Congress, most of whom not only did not serve, but in the current Democratic session, despise the military. Frankly, it is the best Congress money can buy.

Northrop Grumman won five of the six major parts of the original bid. In addition the Air Force questioned the air frame schedule presented by Boeing. It looked to me like Boeing thought they had it locked up and really had no competition. They did second rate work to get a first rate contract.

I would hate to see any of our men of woman lose their lives because of lack of good air support. My question is, when would the tankers be ready to fly? They have already been on hold since 2004 and I think are forces have done pretty well so far, but I want our forces to have the best support available.
I think people are over reacting if they think the tankers will help our troops next month.

I will wait and see what comment Obama has after getting input from his 200 advisors.
