Privatize the profits, and socialize the losses.
Yes, I always chuckle over how many businessmen and "Wall Street" figures scream that Obama wants to "redistribute wealth." Funny, they never have a problem "redistributing losses" to the middle class.

You have to be a complete imbecile to not now recognize that Bush and his Republican cadre have done nothing but hijack this country starting with the 2000 election, so that they could use the military to hijack another countries oil and then give no bid contracts to all the good ole boys in the club. The Federal Reserve has free reign to counterfeit dollars to then lend at interest rates that you and I could never get to speculators to jack up the price of oil and manipulate the market to shave away your retirement investments in 401k's. Because all farming has gone corporate and corn is diverted from food to a negative loss leader and net deductions for energy companies, the middle class is progressively being starved to economic and at some point literal death. It's too bad that the farmers are mostly gone because any one of them will tell you that the only way to deal with nests of rattlesnakes is to .......

Unfortunately many of you are too stupid to even fill in that blank.

If you want a laugh, read about the head of Northern Rock bank in the UK. Big libertarian, even wrote some books on how government intervention is bad.

Until his bank went belly up and had to be bailed out by the UK government. Now every taxpayer in the UK is paying for his mistakes.

Hey Chris, the Blog name for Jane Healy, you are back and still defending yourself. If you did not write this wonderful opinion why don't you have the writers name attached? Otherwise you either wrote it or approved it. Jane, try to remember that FDR 1st started Fannie in the 1930's and President Johnson and the democrats added Freddie and forgot to add Treasury or Federal Reserve controls back in the 1960's. When the S&L crises started in the late 1970's was that Jimmy Carter who was President. Jane, or Chris, I'm sorry you have such a problem with reading comprehension and substitute ideology for facts. My opinion of you Jane is not based on one item but your career lack of understanding when I compare your items to items in the Wall Street Journal or Investors Business Daily. Good Bye Chris or Jane.
Thank you for bringing the historical facts to light. People need to read history and see that these issues have been festering since the 30's and FDR. Congress is a bunch of clowns, they have failed repeatedly to protect the people. And that is both parties!

It boggles my mind that your knowledge of history only goes back to 2000. Please read about FDR taking us off the gold standard for starters. And watch out for the black helicopters.
