For those uniformed like the Sentinal editorial staff although Medicare competitive bidding was ended some stip[ulation where put in place now all medicare provider have to be accredited. Many do not know how flawed the competitive bidding process was goood company from our area where denied bids meaning they are out of medicare, and to make it worse company that where not licensed for oxygen got bids for that job. Others where given bids with company that are not even in the same state as the area they won you can not get Florida retail 02 license without a location that's the law. So to say nothing gas been done is not true just remember many of these company's do not cheat and work hard to make a profit, overhead in the medical supply biz is very high we must carry huge insurance policy's as well as multiple licenses city ,state, and federal.

Medicare fraud? The Dickens, you say. Maybe if fraud were curtailed the system coul dhang on for another 10 years without taking draconian measures, like a massive FICA tax increase proposed by Nobama and the Dummycrats.

Not to bring up the obious but "WHERE" is the Sentinel's reporting on the dynamic and stunning lady whose speech last night was a paradigm shift in the election ?

This lady hit the ball "out of the park" and the sentinel doesn't even give her credit.

Want to know WHY ?.........The Sentinel reporters haven't been told by the "other" mrdia yet how to counter her success.

I encourage our congress and senate leaders to approve additional spending on fighting Medicare fraud. There are no good excuses not to. Additionally, our political leaders need to overhaul the Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as they have granted providers a license to steal.

Now you believe they should? They should have cracked down from the beginning. MD's submitting names the obtained off of tombstones for treatments they never did. Give these idiots some long hard time busting rock and you might be able to clean it up.

As far as the speech last night...I had my doubts about her...but not any longer!! What an AWESOME lady, and great speech!!

As for Medicare (and Social Security disability) fraud, the solution is simple.

Go after the person drawing the illegal money. Offer $5,000 tax free to anyone getting benefits they don't deserve, then ban them from future benefits for life!!!

I recommend ending medicare AND social security. There is no Consitutional provisions for these programs anyways. What did people do before they could leach off of the other taxpayers?

They ate cat food and died early. As for medicare, they just went to the emergency room which is more expensive anyway.

Great ideas there.

Way to go re medicare fraud.. I was an investiagtor in the state of Ohio tracking down fraud and it is not that hard..plus when you have laws that send these people to prison instead of a small fine, you will see a steep decline in this practice as the "word" will get around. I found most of this to involve Medicaid but Medicare is also deeply involved. Stay on this Sentinel!!!!

Sorry, I am just more along the belief of, if you can't feed yourself, don't eat. If you can't afford to go to the doctor, don't.

What are we talking about here? Isn't taking from the government a legimate enterprise that needs special tax credits and lower tax rates because they are small business owners.

Vote for Sen McCain and Sarah Palin to protect these small business enterprises, The Democratic Congress is against small businesses who take a little more from the government. This congress wants to stop free trade and the growth of small enterprises.

In fact, vote straight Reoublican. These busimesses deserve a break, my gosh. Why pick on them?

Perhaps. But does it make more sense to have local programs administered by local people who better know local problems?

I believe so. And regardless of the multitude of legal and moral arguments, there is NO constitutional authority for Social Security and Medicare. Never has been.
