Dems and republicans should also agree on drilling for oil off our coastline. We americans have a moral responsibility to share the burden of oil spills with the 3rd worlder's. Why should we have pristine beaches while other oil producers live in a toxic wasteland? We are leaders in science and discovery, so let's do the right thing. Drilling and refining can be done without spills if the right technology and effort is involved. Put aside the rest of the debate issues and shoulder the job! Come on America,Let's start drilling!!

The only part of the US population that is burgeoning is that of Hispanics and their anchor babies. That is plain fact.
As to bio that isn't food like the **** corn gig. Look at hemp! Fixes Co2, doesn't need all the chems to grow, renews itself (when it isn't being snuffed by DEA), can provide omega fatty acids, fiber for clothes, and fiber for paper, and........medicine. Want to have pet birds? Give them hemp seed. Want to catch the biggest fish? Throw some hemp seed in the water when you cast your line.
5000 years of civilation weren't wrong regarding hemp. It's only in the 20th and 21st century that we find that the powers that be are too stupid to realize something that has been around for millenia.
A) You sure do talk about weed a lot. Smoke much?

B) The energy crisis is not limited to the US, its global. Populations in China, India, etc are growing RAPIDLY and they will need a TON more fossil fuel as they get bigger. Regaurdless if the US population stays the same or declines slightly, we need to address the energy crisis facing the world.

C) Hemp, corn, sugarcane, dosent matter if we actually eat it or not. The idea is that if we grow our fuel in fields, even if it is non edible like hemp, we are replacing food producing fields with energy producing fields. I just dont see that is a smart idea in the long run unless we can get significantly more energy out of the product. Right now it is my understanding that it takes more than a gallon of fossil fuel to produce/process a gallon of bio fuel. I think we should focus more on other ideas. Again, it does not seem smart to replace food with energy. The logical conclusion is a lack of food...like we are seeing.

The United States should only reciprocate with each country with whom we trade only as much as they do for our goods sold and shipped to them. We've never grown any 'nads to do this and let other countries step all ovr us.
